I did a search and came up with nothing. Anyone else experiencing this.

Anyone experiencing a SHARP pain in their upper femur about s4-6 inches below their ball joint?

It doesn't happen all the time (couple of times a day especially in the last month), but when it does it stops me dead in my tracks. It feels like it is going to snap and break, right there.

I take a prescribed heavy does Vit D gel cap...so it's not that.

I get bone pain with lyme & co's that can be excruciating. My femur was one of the first places I had it. And was as you describe... sharp & intermittent... I also have bad joint pain, then the bone pain came the first time I herxed really bad.

That said, I've also had a stress fracture from running that felt like that same severe pain.

The difference with the bone pain is that it's not aggravated when I walk. I could be laying down, resting, sleeping, sitting and I still get it.
