Hello, I know it takes a long time to eradicate worms. But how long can I take praziquantel, Albenza... in a row? I know the prasite protocol from Dr. K. but how often repeating this. I felt some improvement with praziquantel but Im not sure how long the liver can stand this. Anyone how took antiparasitics like those for a longer period of time?? Thank you!

Per Dr. K's protocol, I take them each for 2 weeks. After I finish a full round of the meds, I then switch to herbals with salt/c.
I see my ART practitioner about once per month so he guides me through.

I have taken ivermectin for 15 mos every other day . If you pulse these drugs I think you can get results and not risk liver problems. People in other countries have taken ivermectin for a long time safely . I found iver/ praziquantel combo ( equine from tractor supply ) to be VERY helpful with twitching and with breathing / asthma .
I have read at other sites it was advised as a combo for lungworm . It definitely made a BIG difference with my shortness of breath and living on vaporizers .

I have been rotating them every couple of weeks, however during that time I will take breaks for herxing, and fairly low doses. The way I look at it, if I'm seeing dead ones I'm making progress. I do not want to make my herx problems worse, so I go slowly but with determination. Eventually I will be able to take higher doses, I would think.
One thing I notice is that every time I switch meds, I suddenly see a new batch of dead ones, sometimes different varieties than before. So it seems like for me rotating the drugs seems to "surprise" them.
I agree with what annxyzz said, that internationally ivermectin (and I believe also albendazole) are used for long-term treatment. But if you think that ANYTHING you're taking might be overwhelming your liver, it makes sense to stop and take breaks. Apparently the coffee enemas help with this? I am just now experimenting with this; it might be worth looking into.

Thanks for your responses. I have taken praziquantel 2 times for 5 days so far. The first five days I had such an increase in hunger for proteins. I think that doubled hunger is detox.
For lungworm in dogs they use fenbendazol. This is confusing because ivermectin and praziquantel are for other types of worms. Or are those lungworms different? I never felt anything not worse not better from ivermectin but never took it together with praziquantel.

Fenbendazole (animal med) is very similar to the human drug mebendazole (sold as Vermox but no longer avail. in the U.S.). I have found Vermox on amazon, otc, made in Italy. It's pricey that way. I understand there are other ways to get it but don't know myself.
I had pretty good luck with mebendazole--didn't herx much if any and it did produce results. I'd do that one again. I don't think I have lungworm, though who knows.

I just ordered Vermox through a Canadian Pharmacy (per my doc's instructions).
I haven't tried Vermox yet. So far I've been great tolerating all of these different meds. Thank God. I am still loaded and need to treat very long-term. It's been over 11 months and I'm still passing parasites daily. Crazy!!

Can someone please PM me the Dr. K parasite protocol? I assume that you can't post it here (or can you??). Thank you.
I'm doing Alinia right now, specifically for Babesia, but hopefully for whatever other parasites.
