- At first glance, I strongly question the presentation of just these three steps. It's not that simple.
It's best if you could consult with a LL ND about the elements of this approach - and other optoins.
- When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods:
if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -
- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )
Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.
When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.
Integrative / Holistic M.D., etc. (Be aware that those in this category can have various levels of formal herbal &/or nutritional education, perhaps even just a short course. Do ask first.)
Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:
Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;
knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.
You can compare and contrast many approaches.

The bio-fibrin looks interesting. My LLMD has me taking a ton of bromelain which is suppose to do the same thing.
I'd question the whole "flimsy fat" theory, especially with how Lyme can hide in tissue.
If it's not too expensive and you have the time to experiment, it might be worth trying, but I'd be more inclined to seek an ND or doctor of Oriental Medicine as well who can guide you to supplements more suited for your particular body.
That would probably be a better thing to do.

My personal opinion is that monlaurin may be effective on viral issues but I don't think it has much if any efficacy against bacteria and lyme.
Treatment for excess fibrin/fibrinogen should be included in all tickborne disease treatments in my opinion. But by itself those supplements do not kill anything. It is an adjunctive treatment which helps meds or killing herbs to work better.
And heavy metal detox can be beneficial if you have elevated levels of lead or mercury. But again those treatments will not kill lyme, or bacteria or blood borne parasites such as babesia.
My personal choice for an herbal approach would be the Buhner protocol. It is relatively cheap and can be tailored to your particular infections and symptoms. It can be done alone but would be even more effective with the guidance of an herbalist.
I personally do not feel that just herbs are strong enough, but they are better than nothing and if you have already done meds then they might be strong enough.
