These two authors should get the "IDSA Butt Kicking Award", no doubt. I'll nominate them. Anyone want to second that emotion? Great work!
Borrelia burgdorferi aggrecanase activity: more evidence for persistent infection in Lyme disease
Raphael B. Stricker* and Lorraine Johnson
Lyme disease is the most common tickborne illness in the world today. A recent study describes for the first time an enzyme produced by the spirochetal agent of Lyme disease, Borrelia burgdorferi, that cleaves aggrecan, a proteoglycan found in joints and connective tissue.
Discovery of the spirochetal aggrecanase raises many questions about the pathogenesis of Lyme arthritis and lends support to the concept of persistent B. burgdorferi infection in patients with chronic Lyme disease symptoms. Full article here:

I second that emotion.
You just sent me back to Motown memory lane.
So now I'll have that tune playing in my head for days.
But it's all good, especially since Stricker is an author. As for Lorraine Johnson, IDK. I'll have to read up on her more before forming an opinion.
Can't do that now as there is no time for me to do so.
You've sent me on a journey starting from the 60's. I'm now in disco mode and loving Donna Summer.
"Someone left the cake out in the rain..."
Really? Who back in the '70s in their right mind would leave a cake out anywhere, much less in the rain?
Sorry couldn't resist. There were some really cool lyrics to songs sung in the 70s. Those weren't among them.
