Other symptoms: -Somewhat lighter colored stool -2 bowell movements unlike any I've ever had (both were same day back to back) where it was like completely water but some consistency (was not transparent) (sorry for the gross detail) -Feel slight right side pain but not intense at all and not constant, very slight.
Went to the doctor. All kidney tests normal.
Six weeks ago before re-starting ABX I had liver enzyme ALT slightly elevated at 62. Got results back today of recent blood test, and its up to 70 (I was told "normal" is 10-45). At that he said he wanted to do an ultrasound of my upper right quadrant. I panicked at that point and needed to know why. He wanted to look at the liver and kidneys. Nurse said "he wants to check for gall stones".
I am now panicked that I am having liver disease signs at age 30... or have a blocked bile duct from a gall stone...
I have read that treating babesia with mepron-like drugs can elevate these numbers. Have also read that Mono and EBV which I have can do the same. I took painkillers this past summer to tolerate the horrible pain I was in, and now regret it.
Just wondering if ANYONE can shed any light on this, as I am very scared that I am dying or will find something very malignant at the ultrasound on Tuesday.
I have a confirmed liver fluke parasite... not sure what the doctor is doing to treat it (not sure what supplement I am taking treats it). i wonder if the fluke, EBV, babesia, and treatment is making the liver enzymes elevated month after month.

Try a castor oil pack to see if that relieves any G.I. or liver or kidney pain.
You could also try dandelion root tea or capsules. There are many different liver herbs and supplements that might help -- but the biggie is to treat the known infections.
In my opinion a liver fluke sounds like the most likely cause of the elevated enzymes. But the babesia could be a factor as well.

I am on cats claw, biaxin, mepron, paracid forte, a multivitamin, and was on NK Stim until I ran out along with Vitamin D and Adrenal Support Supplement.

My adult daughter was treating babs with mepron and biaxin... she started getting the kidney pain and then liver pain... she was doing routine bloodwork due to being on mepron. Her enzymes went to 16x normal within a month. I cant stress enough that these meds are serious stuff! She had to go off everything! We just used natural means to bring the levels back down. Hers was medically induced and eventually returned to normal.
I haven't had symptoms since then, and forgot about trying to treat for flukes. I probably still have them.

Clint31, in my opinion you really need to talk with your doctor, ASAP.
You said your still on (cats claw, biaxin, mepron, paracid forte, a multivitamin).
Those meds by themselves can cause all the proplems you're taking about.
Be careful, hope no damage has been done!
Please work with your LLMD/Doctor....

Clint,
I have had elevated AST several time over the past 2.5 years. First time was like your's at 60 something-ish I stopped all ABX and re-test two weeks later in it had risen into the low 70''s before dropping back into normal range.
Those number should do no harm, they are not that high.
The 2nd time my ALT went into 60's I stayed on ABX and it dropped back two week later.
I seem to be in ramping into another hi spell right now.

I mean, I am talking to my doctor.
He's the one who ordered blood tests because I was having pain in the kidney area... he's the one who after getting the results said I needed a ultrasound. Hes' the one who put me on the regimen of the aforementioned things... what do you mean talk to him?
When I was on treatment for babesia, my ferritn levels went up too. After treatment stopped, the ferritin levels dropped. Mepron causes elevated liver enzymes, but they should return to normal after you are done with treatment.
Please make sure you are protecting your liver with milk thistle, NAC, and alpha lipoic acid. I'm sure your ultrasound will show that there is nothing serious.
Also, trust God! He has your back. If you want to talk at any time, I am here for you.

What I tried to say was…If your liver shows signs of stress, then its time to give it a rest from med’s.
As far as I’m concerned, if anyone’s liver test are abnormal then they should stop ALL medications, at least till they go back to normal.
It’s like playing Russian roulette.

I wouldn't jump to cancer diagnosis. It's probably liver flukes (common). Mepron, malarone and diflucan can elevate enzymes too. You could have a combo from both.
I think it's from flukes in the bile duct (symptoms match). I had tests and ultrasounds done, all came out fine.
I agree with Bea (castor oil packs, dandelion tea/pills). I had light stools for a long time (again, probably flukes as well). When I treat for parasites, the color goes back to normal.
Check out THE PARASITE WARRIOR'S THREAD.
As far as kidney pain goes, I get that when I'm doing too much. You probably need to back off of something.
