So I've been off treatment since August. I wasn't 100% symptom free, but I was pretty close, and it seemed like the issues that I was still having were more after effects from being sick than the actual illness.

About a week ago, my dermatologist started me on Doryx. I don't recall the dosage, but it's likely lower than the Doxycycline I'd taken for Lyme before, since Lyme dosages for everything tend to be on the higher side.

Since I've started on it (about a week ago), I've been noticing joint pain, which was one of my worst symptoms. It's mild, but it's there, and it's every day.

What I'm wondering is, have you had lyme symptoms flare up as a result of taking medications after you stopped treatment? Is it good or bad? Should I stop taking this stuff, or go back to see my doctor?

I would say it's both. It's good because it means you are killing keets. You are herxing. So it's BAD, since that means you still have keets to kill. You still have Lyme.

Maybe after this you could switch to herbals?
