Anyone here using Phyllostachys edulis for inflammation? I am hearing a few good things about this.

Otter, I tried doing some searching on this. But everything I brought up was bamboo, what they make floors, furniture etc.
Are they using root of bamboo in supplement?
Show us some sites. I couldn't find anything.

if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -
- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )
Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.
When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.

- BAMBOO 11 -- I've taken this and found it to be very nice, indeed, to calm a cough and my nervous system, too (it calms shen much like Fu Shen does). It was not overly sedating as I recall.
If taking for a cough, though, it's important to also be free of the major phlegm producing foods: gluten; dairy; corn; soy.
Bamboo, Acorus & Amber (3 of the 11 ingredients of the formula) would both help to soothe muscle spasms involved with coughing, too. I could feel it help reduce phlegm and really settle my coughs, and that helps reduce the inflammation, too.
All NDs would know about Seven Forests line of herbs, excellent quality, based in Portland, OR. I could not speak to any other brand, though.
