I am curious to know how many of you or your loved ones had mono and lyme disease as co-infections?

Or diagnosed with mono that never resolved and later diagnosed with lyme disease?

Thanks,
Kristi

Mono at age 17. The Lyme was most likely contracted about 9-10 yrs prior to that.

I had Lyme before I had mono, but I wasn't all that sick. After the mono, my health took a SERIOUS nosedive, and that's actually when I finally got correctly diagnosed with Lyme.

My bloodwork negative for CMV and EBV months before new tick bite.

New Tick Attachment/Bite November 2012

Positive for EBV and CMV in the months following tick attachment.

In my opinion, EBV and CMV ARE/CAN BE coinfections.

Along with several other viruses. Let alone other bacterias. Tick guts are like garbage dumps.

Ive found that MMS is very good for Mono or EBV and there is also an herbal prep called Monobrex that is effective for some.

Thanks for all of your input.

I've been reading Dr. Harowitz book. I wanted to see what the connection was with mono / EBV and Lyme Disease was on here.

Personally, I'm not sure if it is time to see a Lyme specialist or not. I'm waiting to see if the other specialists can figure out what is wrong.

But, I'm tired of waiting. Though, I haven't waited as long or been nearly as sick as what I've read from many of you.

I just don't know if my illnesses could be from a tick bite or not. I've been bitten by a tick before, but just don't remember how recent it was to my mono and pneumonia in April of 2013 or the second round of mono in October. It may have been 15 months prior.

Anyway...thanks for all of your replies!
Kristi

The best outcomes are when you tx early

This disease is horrible-it really screws up your life

It is really worth getting the igenex test-but im not sure if you need a doc for that-texas is one of the hardest states to get help

Its not impossible-i have afriend there and can probably get doc names

Let me know
