I am using a glutathione cream. It definitely makes me constipated (very unusual for me) Does this indicate that the glutathione is binding toxins (and therefore binding me)? Or is this just an unrelated side effect ? By which I mean would glutathione not cause constipation in a healthy person ? -------------------- You won't know how sick I was until you see me when I'm well !

I'm not sure. I use IV and IN glutathione and it does not make me constipated.

FWIW I tried a few 1g Glutathione suppositories. They constipated me. They did not make me feel better - in fact worse -constipation or not. I had been injecting 100mg Glutathione IM 2x/week. 1cc of Glut plus some ATP and Lidocaine. I think they helped me feel better. That is a low dose compared to the suppositories and IV. Dunno. My doctor says her patients do well with the Glut/ATP/Lido injections. Not many people inject it IM. My doctor says the IM's almost worthless without the ATP in it - to get it into cells/whatever. Wonder about this. I think the $200 I just spent on the suppositories was a bust. Dang it. I have one refill on Glut from McDuff - that I could inject IM - but it does not have ATP. Anyone with thoughts about this? I wish I could infuse it IV...... Sorry to hijack this thread. The IM injections did not seem to constipate me. -------------------- Pos.Bb culture 2012 Labcorp - no bands ever Igenex - Neg. 4 times With overall bands: IGM 18,28,41,66 IND: 23-25,34,39 IGG 41,58 IND: 39 Bart H IGG 40

I've used every version of Glutathione, I think, and none caused constipation. I have IBS anyway and take Magnesium glycinate nightly, so it wouldn't matter if it did cause constipation. I like the transdermal cream. Except, my sensitive inner arms have gotten used to it after using it daily for 4 mos... causing a rash. Now I have to find other "thin skinned" areas to put it on... the only one I can think of is the top of my feet/ankles??? -------------------- ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ (aperture) http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=115161;p=0

I'm constipated with or without glutithione so can't respond to that question. I've also read that IM and oral plain glutithione are poorly effective. Dr. H in his new Lyme book called Why Can't I Get Better recommends either IV administration or lyposomal glutithione oral liquid. I'm taking the oral liposomal glutithione and the results are supposed to rival IV. Absorbs well and crosses cell walls well to get even infra cellular toxins. Works wonders in calming down Herx reactions for me.
