Hi. I'm herxing like crazy from Levaquin for Bart and Bb.

As I'm on Percocet four times a day, I'm sure all the acetaminophen in it is wiping out my glutathione. So I just ordered some liposomal glutathione to help ease the Herx symptoms. What else out there helps detox/ helps ease Herx symptoms? Oh, and I'm taking Benadryl for the insane Herx itching. Any other supplements I can try? Thank you for putting up with my own Lyme illiteracy here. I need help!

Ellen-do you have any Alka Seltzer Gold? Or Eno?

If you take that in some water, the citric acid goes straight to the liver to help detox.

Also, activated charcoal capsules away from other meds help. (just be sure to take with lots of water, and eat enough fiber the days you take it...It can slow things down a bit)

Asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts... Eating steamed sulfurous veggies like that is a good way to naturally help increase blood levels of glutathione depleted by that dreaded acetaminophen.

Haha.

I think JCARL has a great thread about herxing somewhere around here. I will see if I can find it.

Thanks! Will try. Liposomal glutathione hasn't come in yet but just bought and took today both NAC and alpha-lipoic-acid. Both boost body's own glutathione. Itching is nearly gone even without Benadryl! Will ask my doc about OxyContin to replace the Percocet to get rid of the acetaminophen in it killing my natural detox system. Any other ideas out there?

Infr red sauna is my favorite detox method.

But you have to start slow.

I use the tent type of sauna and I got it on EBay for under $200 delivered.

My only internal detox is chlorella, and when I am taking any parasite (Bb) killer med, I take the suggested dose 2x in a day, not one. I take Chlorella by Source Naturals, and it is one of the cleaner ones by Health Ranger tests.

It binds with the toxins given off by Bb when they die, and excretes them, so that they do not continue to recirculate through the liver and keep the body toxic.

It also binds with heavy metals and gets them out of the body. A bonus.
