For the last week, my eyes have felt really hot. It feels like I am running fever, but I am not. There is also a lot of pressure in them. Is this one of those weird Lyme/RMSF symptoms, or is it just a byproduct of extreme fatigue?

I'm not really sleepy; I just feel worn out all of the time. The hot eyes come mostly in the afternoon hours. I've also had aches, chills, and other flu-like symptoms...probably herx-related.

Anyone else with this? I hope my eyes don't pop out.

Yes - I have very similar sypmtoms. They usually flare when I have a Babs herx.

So weird - as I was reading your post it was pretty much what I was feeling in my head/eyes. And I'm soooooooooooo sleepy.

What is RMSF?

I have eye symptoms with Bb, excessive tearing, burning if too much computer work, light sensitivity.

i would not really use hot to describe my eyes but definite dx extremely dry and i have burning, sontaneous tears for no reason, itching sometimes, floaters, vision problems

i am 30 yrs in but in the beginning i thought eye pain and pressure was from babs and went away with artemesia

now i have seem specialists that are supposeably LL and not one can really tell me what is going on or how to fix it

one doc gave me low dose doxy 100 mg a day and it really helped with sx for a long time...then i started getting general lyme sx back and i wonder if the doxy just made the Bb resistant and it came back at me stronger all over...but i dont know.

i just know the best docs in the country cant tell me what is going on

rmsf is rocky mountain spotted fever

I don't have dry eyes or excessive tearing; they just feel swollen. I have floaters, too, that seem to be getting worse since starting treatment. In the mornings, my eyes are so blurry it feels like I am looking through cheesecloth.

I think I tested negative for Babs. Must be herxing from Lyme or the RMSF. Thanks, lpkayak, for decoding RMSF. I've been so sleepy lately, I haven't been on the computer as much.

I hope everyone's eyes get better! But nice to know I am not the only one. :-)
