Hi All, it's been a bit since I've posted. But I am reading here daily. I have been "just being." I've been trying the less is more approach. I am eating well, and I am exercising consistently for the first time in my life... I am proud that I am almost up to a mile 3 x a week. And weights 2 days a week. I don't feel better from this, but I don't feel worse... I am doing well... But, I still get extremely achy at the beginning of the month. If it's bad it lasts over a week... Otherwise a few days. The pain is the "fibromyalgia" type discomfort I have had all my life. It's not that it ever goes completely away... But it is so much worse then. I also get teary then.

Now before you think hormones... I've been done with that for a few years now. I suspect it is still Lyme... But honestly, I'm done looking for a cure for me...don't think I could deal with the pain of treating again. I am so much better than I was before treating, if I could just learn to anticipate these flares I feel I would be ok.

I actually feel better taking fewer supplements, I'm down to, d3, and probiotics daily... magnesium as needed.,. I take omega 3 's a few times a week.

Is there anything I could take a few days before the 1rst of the month, that could lessen the flare. I can't take curcumin.

You're thoughts appreciated.

Hope your all doing the best you can!

If I were you, I'd consult a Constitutional or Classical Homoepathic Physician. Homeopathy can be well suited to the type of thing you are searching for...

Hi Kudz!

I sent you a PM about magnesium...

But your post about a monthly flare- which you seem to have pinpointed quite regular monthly, and description, sounds like Borrelia,

makes me wonder about pulsing Lyme antibiotics on these days (not suggesting you do that)
But it gives food for thought-

If one is off all treatment, and then can accurately pinpoint the flare/ replication is it? About pulsing on those days...

Did you have any herbs that worked well for you during treatment? Maybe take those during the flare?

I'm in the same boat. I feel decent most days but come my menstrual cycle all heck breaks loose! For me, it happens basically every 28 days. I feel like something is still lingering since I still have sweats, vision probs, and pain. All of these get worse during my cycle.

thanks Razzle, Surprise, Six, and Jamers.

Homeopathy intrigues me... I have had great results with rashes-- self prescribing--

Yes, I am sure it is the buggers... but is the cure worse than the disease at this point

I have wicked hay fever/year round allergies, and me and LLMD thought it best to avoid herbals, The only non pharmaceutical I was on consistently during treatment was GSE. Should I be afraid to take cyst buster without a killer?

Sorry, Jamers. I get it. I am actually so much better since my cycles stopped.

You're afraid of herbals due to hay fever type allergies? Or allergies to the herbals? We actually take herbs for our seasonal allergies. You avoid things like chamomile with hayfever, but most herbs don't affect seasonal type allergies.

Maybe the homeopathic route would be best if you're uncomfortable with the herbs. I'm a believer in homeopathy myself.

As far as herbs I was thinking things like oregano oil or other killing herbs during the flare up. If you like abx better, you LLMD maybe be willing to prescribe them for the flare up times.

I'm with you Kudz, I don't believe lyme is curable, but I do believe we can knock it back (I suspect there's probably a cyst form hiding in patients).

I'm with Razzle, I would do the homeopathic route, and for sure treat parasites. B vitamins help during menses too.
