Hi, Unfortunately, Lyme and all the meds have taken a toll on my gallbladder and I have to have it removed soon.
I would like to have the tissue tested for Lyme. I got two totally differing opinions about this. I called Clongen and asked and I believe the pathologist there said he did not feel it was reliable, it is a waste of money and he has yet to see a positive sample from the gallbladder. That the gallbladder is a hostile environment.
However, I feel like everything I've read said Lyme resides in the gallbladder wall, so I called Igenex and they do test the gallbladder and said they have very reliable PCR testing and results are very reliable.
Should I bother having this test run? I have been on years of antibiotics. Will this influence the test at all? Can antibiotics penetrate the gallbladder wall?
Thank you for any info you can provide!!!

Ok thank you! I don't really need confirmation I guess. But I always just wonder what tests will show. Just more curious than needing answers.
