I seem to remember a lot of people on this board posting about chronic teeth problems.
Are there any products that I could try to help tooth decay?
I haven't really had problems with teeth until I had lyme. Not sure if there's a correlation or not?
My Dentist wants me to take a product that has fluoride in it. Isn't fluoride toxic?
I've been oil pulling for the last few months with coconut oil.

Cistus tincture or tea kills the bacteria causing decay and plaque. It is 100% absorbed into the blood so it also attacks biofilm in your body.
Xylitol, is a natural sweetener made from Birch trees that has a low GI. It also kills the bacteria causing decay and plaque. Dentist recommend it to help prevent cavities and gum disease.
Humans do not absorb xylitol well so it doesn't help with biofilm in the blood. Dogs do absorb it and it can cause a massive release of insulin that can put them into shock, so don't feed anything sweetened with it to your pets.
You can buy xylitol at any health food store. Cistus is kind of pricey. Dr. K says Cistus is the most powerful biofilm buster there is. It will quickly whiten your teeth because it kills the biofilm causing the yellow plaque. I got a bottle of tincture here.

Thieves essential oil (a blend of Cinnamon, Clove, Lemon, Rosemary, & Eucalyptus Radiata essential oils) kills the dental spirochetes that have been linked to heart disease.

Interesting link. I did not know it was used for pain or that it crosses the blood brain barrier. It has whitened my teeth.
I have protomyxzoa and had "substantial biofilm". I am doing much better, without symptoms. Cistus may help in that regard but I believe the best biofilm buster for the blood is liposomal EDTA. That would not affect your teeth but getting rid of biofilm is the key to getting the infections under control.

The oil pulling should help a lot. Stay far away from fluoride. It will make the decay more progressive.
And yes to the essential oils.

I had wonderful teeth until I got Lyme. Then I started to get cavities and weak teeth. I do believe there is a correlation.

Lymetoo, what makes you think floride makes decay more progressive? Your experience? An article? That's very interesting.

Fluroide is the devil.
I believe it actually pulls/liberates minerals from teeth and bones. Something to do with phosphorus? (can't recall specifics but a google search)
Yes, my teeth bother me now. Never used to. Also have some decay and staining, although I think the staining can be linked to abx use.

When Lyme Disease causes a person to be low in magnesium, the body pulls calcium from bones and teeth to compensate.
The bones get weaker...osteoporosis. The teeth get weaker.
There is more calcium circulating in the blood, and you end up with heart disease...calcification of the heart valves.
Calcium precipitates in the kidneys, causing kidney stones.
You need magnesium!

I think that teeth problems and lyme are totally related. I lost 2 teeth for lyme, no decay, the teeth just died from the root.
I think virtually everyone with lyme will deal with two problems, sooner or later: candida and teeth.
Fluoride is not good, SPECIALLY, ingested.
I guess, due to lyme, the roots get infected the same way any other organ does.
And because of GI problems (everyone here will have a problem there too, as infections are massively present there), I suppose we do not absorb the good nutrients for our bones and teeth...
