I use curcumin, but if turmeric really works better I may try it again.
I had bought some cheap turmeric once and it did a number on my acid reflux.
I take NOW curcumin with pretty good success. No stomach issues if I take it with food.

By accident, I found out turmeric tincture kills some parasites, where capsules do not. If parasites are suspected, I would recommend using the tincture. It will kill the small tapeworms that can come from fleas. If it kills those, it likely kills other types also.

We use Himalaya brand tumeric. which works pretty well. Kind of expensive but worth it.
It is a great anti-fungal among other things. Clears up hubby's jock itch.
