Probiotics -- include sauerkraut in your diet, this one food is loaded with probiotics and kimchi as well. It has to be refrigerated and not pasteurized with living cultures. Most health stores have it like whole foods. You can make it yourself with cabbage and you can bottle it in mason jars. which is what i do.
the whole articles in the link I summarized it below.
Dr. Mercola sent his sauerkraut off to a lab and reported the findings of probiotics saying, “We had it analyzed. We found in a 4-6 ounce
servings of the fermented vegetables there were literally ten trillion bacteria.” That means 2 ounces of home fermented sauerkraut had more probiotics than a bottle of 100 count probiotic
capsules. Translated this means one 16 ounce of sauerkraut is equal to 8 bottles of probiotics.

That's how I rebuilt my gut. I fermented vegetables and ate them with every meal.
I also made homemade kefir, which has more strains of probiotics than store bought kefir.
And homemade kombucha.
Once my gut was restored after a couple years of eating probiotic-rich foods, I cut back and only have something a couple times per week ... usually kombucha.

If you get migraines, beware: sauerkraut is loaded with tyramines, a known migraine trigger.
from National Headache Foundation: Tyramine is produced in foods from the natural breakdown of the amino acid tyrosine. Tyramine is not added to foods. Tyramine levels increase in foods when they are aged, fermented, stored for long periods of time, or are not fresh

I've also been wondering the best and most effective probiotics to take.
Currently I am just taking a pill form as well as eating a lot of yogurt with live & active cultures.
Is there something more or better I should be doing to prevent problems?

any cultured vegatable or fruits might be better than just yogurt. Kimchi can be found in asian markets. Miso is spooned and put in soup. lot of choices.

Are theralac and vsl still considered good?
Reading what mercola did has me thinking but the making of the stuff seems hard for me...
But its so cheap compared to the probiotics
Is there anywhere to buy the saucraut already made correctly? Whole foods or health food store?

We buy powder from custom probiotics. It's an online company. It's a powder not a pill. We mix it in juice. Yum!
