I got rid of bartonella with one month of Levaquin and then Bactrim DS for 11 months (treating both babesiosis and bartonella).

It is now almost 10 years since I got rid of these diseases.

I had undiagnosed lyme and coinfections for at least 10 years prior to being tested for lyme and testing positive. Still, once I got to a good Burrascano-type doctor, I got rid of my diseases.

Hi TF,

Did you get Bartonella under control using only Bactrim or did you need to use a combination? Please help as I likely have some type of Bartonella and the antibiotic regimen I have been on has been quite tough to handle (it has included bactrim).

dali, first I took Levaquin for a month. Maybe that got rid of the bart. I don't know.

Then, my doc put me on the Bactrim DS. He added artimesinin to it after a month. This was all to treat babesiosis. And, he said the Bactrim also treated bart.

I wasn't on any other meds.
