my husband just finished 500 mg daily of levaquin for infected prostate.
I've tried to get him to take probiotics but sadly, no go. he says he's only taken abx a couple of times in his life, so there's no need for them.
is he right?

NO he is not right! A lot of doctors are finally getting on board by telling their patients to take a probiotic anytime you take an abx. It only takes one course to kill the good bacteria in the gut.

Personally, I think probiotics could benefit so many people even when they are NOT on abx.

He will end up paying ... my husband won't listen either. He won't take them unless I hand them to him with a glass of water .. and even that doesn't go well!
