So I've been doing my thing for a while and I'm still so confused. Somedays I feel great basically like im done with treatment then other

days I feel worse than I ever have. I don't know if I'm herxing or what but I know that I always feel much better after taking alka seltzer gold

which leads me to beleive I have to detox more. For example was feeling extra awful at dinner tonight to the point of almost excusing

myself before dinner came out but then I went and took my fourth packet of alka seltzer gold for the day and immediately didnt feel like I was going to die anymore.

Another example some days I go the gym and bench press 245lbs no problem then other days my legs shake when I walk from weakness...

My current protocol Im on is a mix of 3 different ones. I'm taking Jernigan's full lyme protocol
I suppliment with:
Alive multi vitamin
Remag
60 bil probiotics
Niacin
ALA
NAC
Moringa Leaf Powder
Nigella sativa seeds

Detox with:
Alka seltzer gold
Yogi Detox tea

My symptoms are :
Dizzyness, brain fog, chestpain/anxiety, muscle weakness, left side tingles, floaters

Like I said somedays I feel great confident happy energetic. Other days I just want to die.

Any advice for me?

Also since detoxing helps me so much I was thinking about taking zeolite. Anyone know the best brand to take?

Major thing I forgot to mention... ACNE! I never got a pimple once throughout highschool or growing up. Now I have so many pimples I look like Im regoing through puberty! Lol could this be related?

Pimples could mean body detox effort going on.

One comment - drinking mangosteen juice ends Lyme eye symptoms for me, including floaters. I drink the Mango-Xan version, which is the most tart. You can find it at healthfood stores and online.

For me, dizzyness can go along with cervical vertebra subluxation, like the top one, the atlas. I know, we're all different when it comes to what causes our symptoms, but just thought I'd mention it. Means seeing a chiropractor who's good at doing neck adjustments.

My brain fog lifted when I started taking Armour thyroid - I tested low in T3 and higher in TSH prior to starting on it.

Have you ever taken turmeric powder? It's very simple to do and is an excellent anti-inflammatory.

After some research I think the candida might be the cause of the pimples.

I've had extensive thyroid testing. Evrything in my body is working how it should be so that's why Im leaning towards candida since its something I've never paid attention too.

Thank you for the responce robin. 1 is better than none

Candida is indicated by a craving for bread and sugar. It can be tested for via blood and stool tests.

Then if you have it, it means really knowing what you can and cannot eat on the noncandida diet, and preparing for it before you do so, like have the right kind of food around and not the wrong kind. Also there are noncandida recipes that we can do.

I did a step-down when I did it - I eliminated sugar but still ate fruit. Then once I was over the sugar cravings, in around two weeks, I eliminated the sweet fruits.

Pimples can also be bacterial & are not necessarily yeast-related. From what I understand, candida is not a common cause of skin infections on the face, although it's possible.

Antibiotics can cause overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms. --not only fungal but also bacterial.

You might want to see a dermatologist to get a diagnosis.

Alka Seltzer Gold is an antacid, not a "detox". If you are experiencing excessive acid, that's something your doctor should evaluate. It can sometimes be due to an overgrowth of microbes in the GI tract (some secrete acids and/or gases), or can be from other causes.

Antacids can also affect the absorption of certain drugs, so make sure your doctor and your pharmacist know you are taking this.

Note that pH changes & less acidic GI tract environment can affect the growth & virulence of microbes including candida. For example:

"At acidic pH, C albicans grows mostly in the yeast form; at an alkaline pH, it grows primarily in the filamentous [hyphal] form. Gastric acid provides an effective barrier to most microorganisms (normal gastric pH values are 1–3.5)."

Check out this video & notice toward the end that her last symptoms were from the FL1953 bug & she detoxed with Cholestyramine (CSM).

It is interesting how the detox brought her back.

I'm not on antibiotics anymore only herbals and suppliments. I never really treated for candida that's what made me think that because the symptoms are matched to a T with me and the anxiety is killing me but I also know that those are lyme symptoms as well.

I guess I was mistaken but I read everywhere that alkaseltzer gold was good for herxs and detox

I tried cholesteramine for months and it did nothing for me so my LLMD took me off of it. That's why I wanted to try zeolite heard its better.

Cholestyramine is a bile acid sequestrant which does not get absorbed systemically. It is primarily used to treat high cholesterol/lipids.

It can cause deficiences of fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K).

When treating Lyme Disease Cholestyramine is used to detox to remove neuro toxins.

Alka Selzter Gold is used to lessen the effects of a herx. It's very high in vitamin C and works similarly to drinking water with lemon juice.
