Can anyone recommend a good tasting, gluten free, dairy free protein powder?

Thank you!

Good tasting would be hard to come by, I think! Hope you find one!

Thanks Keebler. Have you found it in stores, or only online?

Hi tutu!

HEMP protein powder.

Whole Foods and similar markets would carry it. Usually from Canada, and usually organic.

It does not taste like much, is a bit "sandy" but either just shoot it on down or mix into a veggie smoothie, etc. Carob powder might go nicely with it.

There can be some that are finer ground. Ask the wellness person.

Actually, Trader Joe's has an organic regular and also a Hemp protein powder that has cocoa powder in it, with date sugar (a better choice than regular sugar and it's not overly sweet and has a fair glycemic index. But, if candida, best to make your own with no sugar at all.)

www.vitacost.com or www.iherb.com will have many choices, too.

CHIA seeds, too, might be considered.

I use hemp protein powder, too, and it's not bad tasting in a smoothie with several other ingredients. Pumpkin seed powder is another option I've heard about, although I've not tried it, yet.

Great! Thank you for the information. I'll check out Whole Foods.

Thanks again!

I use Plant Fusion, and I think it tastes pretty good (I mostly use the vanilla flavor), and doesn't seem too gritty.

It's made from pea protein and is available via Amazon or in Whole Foods.

One thing you might want to do is go to Whole Foods and get individual serving packets of a variety of powders. That way, you can get a good sampling without having to buy a big container. Amazon lists the ingredients for this product on its site.

I've been using this hemp protein powder for a while and I like how it tastes. In fact, it doesn't have much taste at all. I have not found it to be sandy either but if you do, use a stick blender or regular blender to remedy that.

Also, the more good things you add to it the less you will taste the hemp. I kind of think of it as being neutral in taste.

Andie, that's a great idea. Thank you [Smile]

Abxnomore, good point. Hopefully I can find a small packet size of that as well to try. I like the idea of adding more things to mask the flavor.
Thank you for sharing!

Vitacost has it in smaller quantities. It's also on sale.

I used hemp protein powder for a long time. By the way, for anyone concerned with avoiding mercury nutiva brand is very likely a much better choice than manitoba farms. I tried a number of others, and considered/analyzed a great many more than that. Many are loaded with mercury.

MAP Protein is a tablet, not a powder, but better protein support than hemp. See masteraminacidpattern.com for more info.

Also, I have found eggs much better as well, I know, that is a food, not a powder.

I agree about Nutiva. I have been using it for a long while and think it's a great product.
