Hi,

So I'm trying to decide which one to treat first....my symptoms are relatively minor so I don't want to try treat both at the same time for fear of double herxing, liver strain, etc.

I am positive for Lyme and Babesia on Igenex testing.

My only Lyme symptom is muscle twitching and my only Babesia symptom is disturbed sleep (I often wake up wide awake 1-2 hrs after falling asleep).

I am a 25 yr old male with a pretty strong immune system.

Which would you guys treat first? I'm afraid If I go after Lyme first, the sleep disturbances from Babesia might not let me get adequate rest to kill the Lyme. Thanks!

Don't know what to tell you since I treated both at the same time.

If your symptoms are relatively minor, the herxing might not be so bad.

In theory I would say treat babs first as supposedly it is a shorter treatment - 4 to 6 months if you are lucky. But for many it can take 1 1/2 to 2 years.

Lyme can take 1 - 3 years if you are one of the lucky ones.

It would be easier to try babs treatment first as results are usually more immediate and obvious if the treatment works. Improvement can be very dramatic.

By simply adding doxy to your babs meds you would be treating both infections at the same time.

Treating 2 infections at once is not too difficult as far as finding combos that will work - it becomes much more difficult to treat 3 infections at once as some meds do not combine well with others.

This is not medical advice, just my opinion based on hubby's experiences.
