I have been treated for Lyme for over 10 years with many different antibiotics and I have never fully recovered. I have lots of muscle and joint pain and fatigue. Most recently a new LLMD that I went to advised me I have Chronic Epstein Barr and suggested antivirals. Has anyone had this situation. Thanks for your help.

Hi there <<<<< mich, and MannaMe >>>>>,

Some years back, before my LD and Co-infections DX, I found out about CEBV/CFIDS. I was positive for a reactivation.

The Dr. I had back then had me try Zinc, Tagamet and Zovirax for a time. We ran low on funding so I stopped.

It did seem to help some tho',I remember getting very, very tired.

There may be some better protocols now, Hopefully someone w/ recent experience will check in on this thread.

I have E.B. too. I'm on a huge daily dose of Phytogen (an herbal anti-viral by Thorne) and a prescription -- Acyclovir.

I just started though, so I don't know how well they'll work yet. And like the silly newbie that I am, I went and made myself worse by trying to exercise, so I need to recover from that. [bonk]

I did an antiviral a few years ago, and it stirred up all my lyme symptoms so my LLMD took me off of it.

Byron White Formulas has A-EB/HHV6 for viruses. See your LLMD and talk to him about it.
