I have active EBV and mycoplasma. I cannot find on google if these are treatable and curable.
I mean I know you always have EBV in your system but can you treat it and keep it at bay?
What is the treatment for mycoplasma? On google it kept coming up as pneumonia and I don't have that. How do I treat this?
I know I should have asked the doctor but with my brain I only thought of these questions after the appointment.

It has been difficult to find info on active EBV. The info I do find says it can be fatal.
I'm just starting testing with my dr. and he told me I for sure have this and mycoplasma.
I'm scared

Yeah, I know it's scary stuff. Getting anxious doesn't really help, though. You just have to try to deal with it one step at a time.

Mycoplasma treatment zithromax and tetracycline not together.
Oil of oregano, colloidal silver, swallowing raw garlic in morning.
I would also look at the anti parasitic thread in this forum. A couple of the LLMD'S said their worst cases improved with anti-parasitics.

I think most people test slightly positive for EBV these days. I guess it depends how bad it is. What are your symptoms?

My symptoms are swollen lymph nodes on side of neck (my dr did an ultrasound and told me those areas were hardend), sore throat,
temperature feels warm at my head and face while having goose bumps on my arms and legs. We have been having a long heat wave and my body doesn't adjust.
Fatigue, need 8 hours at night with 2 hour nap in afternoon.

Yes, I didn't have bart. I was being treated for babs previously.
The symptoms above are just the ones I think relate to EBV I have a lot of other symptoms that come and go also.

I suggest you do a search in the Burrascano Guidelines for both EBV and mycoplasma. He mentions both.
Just get the document on the screen and hit Control+F (the "find" function) and then type in the "find" box that appears any term you want to search for and arrow through every occurrence.
Burrascano says to treat these, but he never says they are terrible or fatal.

I had CFS back in the 1980's. They tested me for EBV but I was negative. I got tested again about 8 years ago & I was slightly positive. My doctor said it was pretty common these days to have slightly elevated EBV.
If you feel fatigued - you just have to rest.
There are things you can do that are naturopathic. I don't know if you are into that.
I used to use bay oil compresses on my lymph nodes when they were swollen. A few drops of bay oil in some warm water & you soak a wash cloth in it, wring it out & put it on the lymph nodes...
I think temperature regulation has to do with the hypothalamus. Alot of us here on Lymenet have hormone issues. It's pretty common with Lyme and the co-infections.

I tested pos for mycoplasma and so did my son. A lot of people have this in the population, but when you have lyme or a coinfection it can come back. My symptom was a sore throat for about 10 months. I was treating for lyme, after 10 years of not having any lyme symptoms. I had come under tremendous stress and my lyme came back at the time. I did aggressive lyme treatment again to include the tinidazole for longer periods. At the same time I took Byron White EBV and Myco tinictures, lots of garlic tabs, and olive leaf capsules. Not sure what worked but it finally went away, and have been good since.
Nicholson's research is good, google it. Just rest a lot, get as much sleep as you need and keep treating the lyme.
