- I've not used them but have used every ingredient over the years in various protocols or on my own but I can usually only afford one supplement a month so I'm just sort of keeping the fires down, real progress eludes me.
I would not say it's a "step past Dr. B's protocol" if "past" means better -- but if "past" means afterward, then, I can see that.
I'm not sure the dose of herbs in #1 are high enough unless in tandem with Rx or Rife - or after remission is reached with just twice a day for a bottle. [The full set costs $325. and just includes one bottle of #1 -- assuming that is to last a month?].
But, my impression of rather low dose of the "direct targeting herbs" is just a thought that I don't have time to study further. Weak is my main impression, even if the list looks good.
When I first saw this site, I was skeptical [partly as it just looks too slick, such large photos taking up 1/3 of the screen of smiling people sort of irritate me].
I do think the Hepapro formulas are going to be much more targeted and much higher dose of allicin, etc., however. I did absolutely excellent on this but funds just ran out. The allicin is intended to go with other items but I just have to say this is the best allicin I've ever taken.
Just in case you've not yet read Buhner's books, be sure to see those for great detail, for dosage / particulars.
All this will help with whatever choice you make.
I think a Rife machine would be a better investment than any set of herbs, really. Herbs are important, it's just that the ongoing costs for the high enough doses, the combinations required for long enough are just not possible for many.
I would first put money toward a rife. Then figure herbs to be for support. -

Buhner's articles, books, website are about 3/4 of the way into the links set in next post. His books are absolutely invaluable information for anyone on any protocol.

- When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods, because lyme is so very complex & unique, as are possible coinfections:
if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -
- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )
so they really know all they can about the science of lyme . . . how lyme (& other TBD) act and what we can do about that in various ways.
Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.
When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.
Herbal Safety considerations & reference books; etc.
Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:
Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;
knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.
You can compare and contrast many approaches with links to articles, books, methods . . .
BODY WORK methods / links (and why anyone who works on your spine MUST be LL to the degree they at least know to never suddenly twist neck or spine. Never. Ever. And that we should never be advised to do neck / head / shoulder stands.) -
