My boyfriend was bitten by a tick 3 weeks ago. We had the tick tested and it is postitive for lyme but negative for babesia and a few other co-infections. He has no symptoms yet. But, as we all know that means nothing.
Besides Doxy, what treatments are recommended - either herbal abx or other supplements for someone with a new tick bite?
He cannot take astragalus, part of the Buhner protocol since it may interact with his blood thinner, coumadin.
Thanks for your help!

- As he is taking Coumadin, it's best to consult with an ILADS educated LL ND (naturopathic doctor) or herbalist of the caliber of Buhner, I think. There should be several in your region - lyme support groups the most likely to know.
Some kind of basic liver support is always important to have on board, though I'm not sure about interactions. -
