I'm so excited! I am almost certain that I'm herxing, and I haven't felt a sure herx since March.
Just had to share. I might not be back here for a little while, I dunno, because I feel even more like death, but that's exciting!

Just be aware that sometimes "herxing" isn't the best for you. I "herxed" for a year on I.V. Rocephin and in the end didn't improve much. In some ways was worse.
I am not saying this to discourage you only to caution you. If you do not feel better SOON. I would worry it is something else. please don't put yourself through years of misery or push yourself too fast. In the end I feel it can be counter productive.

I think sometimes the people who say they herxed for a year on a lyme drug were actually experiencing something else. As in the drug had knocked down the lyme and now the symptoms of another possibly unsuspected and untreated coinfection were at the forefront.
That is why it has been described as being like peeling an onion, one layer after another.
Just guessing here. There is so much guesswork in lyme and you may not know for sometime what the answer really was.

Thanks all I hope this is a herx, hard to tell, but I'm pretty sure it is. I think my head is more pressurized, and along with that comes blurrier vision. I hope I'm not imagining it.
That is exactly what happened to me back in March when I started taking Cefzil for the first time. That's the only time I know for certain I was herxing. Two weeks into the Cefzil I could really tell. I wasn't near as sick then though (I could still walk and stuff), so it was a lot easier to tell that I was herxing.
I'm a week into these new abx, so I imagine at two weeks I'll really be able to tell what's going on.
Yes poppy, so much guess work. So frustrating. I just really hope to see some improvement soon.
My doc says if we don't see improvement in 6 weeks we'll probably go back to something IV to hit Bart. He thinks Bart is my biggest problem. He's said that for months, but I didn't believe him until now.
