I was diagnosed with Lyme in August and have been undergoing treatment from an LMD for the past 2 and a half months.
I have had a bit of a tough start, being in and out of the hospital in the first month. I have found out that I have Ehrlichia/Anaplasma and chlamydia pneumonia in addition to the Lyme.
The CPN is what is concerning me at the moment.
I have been having bad chest pains and increasingly worse fatigue and weakness throughout my body.
I can't find much clear info on CPN but Im thinking that my symptoms of chest pains are likely related to it.
Do any of you have CPN and have some more information or experience about it?
How long does it typically take to treat?
What are the main symptoms?
I am currently on Doxy, Plaquenil, and Azythro
Any experiences, stories, or advice would be great. This is all still very new and overwhelming to me.
On a good day I feel like doing much more than walking across the room could give me a heart attack...looking for any relief.

Good luck. Many LLMDs are well aware. The protocols sort of mirror each other so it's great when one's LLMD can tweak it to address both lyme and Cpn with same protocol. -

I have CPN as well. It's NOT fun. Symptoms surfaced for me a couple of years after Lyme, in the form of bronchitis that would come right back as soon as stopping an antibiotic.
Keebler led me to the cpnhelp website and that's where I got most of my info. Until that website, nothing helped. No single antibiotic could rid me of it. I even saw an ID doctor who guaranteed that levaquin would take care of it. Nope - after that, my blood test showed my levels were even worse.
My rec would be to study the info on the cpnhelp website and then do one of those protocols, which consist of combos of abx long-term (sound familiar?).
Currently, I am on doxy and zith and my bloodwork is finally going in the right direction and I am feeling better. I will likely add Rifampin as well.
These drugs are used for Lyme and co as well, so you'll get more bang for your buck.
What kind of chest pains are you having? Does your chest feel tight? or like someone is sitting on it? If so, an inhaler may help. I have had to go on inhalers for this.
Any palpitations? Have you had an EKG or an echo? I had a lot of palpitations when I was really symptomatic. Could have been from the inhalers though.
This can definitely cause fatigue and weakness.

Protocol for Chlamydia from the new edition of Healing Lyme:
-Berberine containing plant tincture (eg. Goldenseal) -Combination tincture of Scutellaria Baicalensis and Salvia miltiorrhiza -Combination tincture of Cordyceps, Withania somnifera, and Glycyrrhiza -Bidens Pilosa or other Bidens species -Vitamin A -Optional: combination tincture of Andrographis and Houttunya
Oddly, he didn't include NAC which I think is the most important thing to be taking if you have Cpn. This is based on the info from cpnhelp.org and http://www.davidwheldon.co.uk/NAC.html . I definitely herxed from when taking NAC and antimicrobials until I got my Cpn levels down. It kills the elementary body form of the bacteria.
