This concept is starting to resonate with me. (Can you tell I've been studying energy medicine?).
This concept is so obvious - but I am guessing it doesn't work as one would hope.
Vs. bactericidal Abx/herb etc.
So - how to make the body inhospitable?
Salt/C? mHBOT? Homeopathy? Heat?
For Lyme. Bart. Babs. Parasites. Candida etc.

Reduce parasites, EMFs, biofilms, toxin load (heavy metals, pesticides, etc), add: heat, oxygen, energy medicine. Modify diet to reduce inflammation, support body with good Non GMO food and lots of rest.
Oxygen can be as simple as Burrascano's exercise recommendation. Heat can be sauna, preferable FIR. Gael has parasites down (Parasite Warrior Thread) with herbs and salt/c. Brussels has homeopathy down (check out her threads).

I've had success of late from cutting overly acidifying foods (red meat, carbs/sugar). When you decrease acidity/oxidation you increase cellular energy. Cellular energy and a healthy redox state is essential for cellular immunity. The main trick the intracellular bugs play is to make your immune system overly active to things outside the cell which causes acidity/oxidation, thereby weakening cellular immunity.
I never seemed to have any problem killing borrelia outside the cell, I don't even need antibiotics. If I eat some sugar I experience a herx within about 24 hours. This is because my babesia has so ramped up my humoral immunity by screwing up the terrain. All the co-infections are cellular pathogens and likely employ this tactic. And of course this drives borrelia into the cells as well. And if your immune system is falling short on cellular immunity it doesn't matter how many antibiotics you take, you won't make any progress.
acidic terrain charges humoral immunity neutral terrain will get you killing off intracellular infections.
Since changing my diet and working on terrain I'm now able to herx with even low doses of Doxy. Incidentally the intracellular herx is quite a bit different than the extracellular.
I think this is the real problem in chronic Lyme, an oxidized terrain, not so much the biofilms. A balanced and hearty immune system leaves the bugs nowhere to hide. You make progress.
Although I've never been overly-impressed by their presentations I think those at Biological Medicine are on the right track. I've added some Sanum remedies to my protocol as well.
