I really need to vent and get some ideas.

My LLMD and Dentist do not take insurance.

The cost is so expensive its practically making me go broke.

My dental situation is extremely tough also.

I had 3 teeth extracted due to a severe accident in 1993.

Had dental bridges done in 2000, with them failing, resulting in more teeth extracted (5total).

I've been looking at implants afraid to do titanium.

Bone grafting failed a year ago which means I need to start over.

I've been going to a holistic dentist who is three times the price as a traditional dentist.

How do people afford this?

I'm tempted to go back to the traditional dentist even though I don't think that's a good idea.

Each state has universities which have dental schools. You can call your State Capitol and ask for a list of them. In my state, VCU has a dental school & a clinic where you can make an apt with a student, a resident or a faculty member - for various fees. Sometimes State facilities have a sliding fee

scale depending on your income. You can then tell the person working on you that you only want a certain type of filling, etc.

If you are a senior citizen, various dental insurance companies have dentists who provide services at a reduced cost. For LLMDs fees, you have to call the office and ask what the fee is

- they all charge something different. To find LLMDs you could visit your local Lyme group.

I had some of the worst dental care from the 3 holistic/biological dentists that I tried.

They don't use safer material than regular dentists. They put stuff in my mouth I was allergic to and dental work even cracked in under a year.

I found an older, traditional, understanding dentist who takes insurance. The dentist is fully aware of allergies and even has a fragrance-free office policy.

The dentist was around when nickel was used in dental work and people had allergic reactions, so there was no need for me to explain much.

I just use zirconium and fleck's cement for dental work and insurance pays.

You just need to find a really nice, understanding, traditional dentist who will work with you.

Not all are respectful (both holistic and traditional)

Good luck!
