for the last several days I have been passing yellow orange water, not diahrrea. jus water. I have severe pain in my stomach and my left hand side under my ribs. my lower ribs are very sore and goes to my back between shoulder blades, and upper back has pins and needles.
my bp is low. I have not vomited and I don't have a fever. I'm really tired. my neck really hurts.
I'm afraid of pancreatitus.
eating does not cause immediate pain more like a dull constant achy pain which comes hours later. it is not the rolling in the floor morphine pain.
I ate abit yesterday and passed it almost undigested at 2 today.
it's been going on since last wednesday. oh yes bad headache and nausea.

I'm so sorry to hear this. If it were me, I would go to the ER to be safe. Please keep us updated as to how you are doing if you are able to. Keep fighting, Randibear.

I don't know what's going on. It could even be a bad herx. Just here to offer you my support. Had/have lyme since 1990 and have experienced just about everything. Hopefully other posters will offer you more constructive information.
Somehow hang in there and keep smiling (like I know you are).

I'm terrified. husband leaves friday for out of country for two weeks.
does it sound like pancreas? but I dont vomit, run fever, or have bloating or hard stomach.

ummm I have been on alot of abx lately. mostly biaxin and amoxy with flagyl due to diverticitis but I took probiotics. stopped the abx at least a month or so ago.

Dr. Paredez explains, "Orange diarrhea can be caused by food or supplements which contain orange food coloring, food with artificial yellow or orange coloring, or foods such as carrots, cilantro, collard greens, fresh thyme, kale, sweet potatoes, spinach, turnip greens, winter squash."
Do you take turmeric supplements? Bright orange specks may show up in your bowel movements, though this should not actually color your bowel movements orange.
Dr. Paredez continues, "Orange diarrhea may be the result of infectious diarrhea, which causes rapid transit through the intestine, which limits the amount of bile in the stool. Less commonly it could also occur from a blockage of the bile ducts, which can be seen in cases of gallstones or bile duct or pancreatic cancers."
Bile duct cancer and pancreatic cancer are the life-threatening medical conditions that can result in orange diarrhea. However, this color in your bowel movements rarely means cancer. "In fact, biliary blockage from cancer more commonly produces 'white, grey or clay' colored stools," adds Dr. Paredez.
Another potential cause of diarrhea that has an orange tinge to it, is microscopic colitis, an inflammation of the lining of the large colon. This non-serious condition interferes with food absorption (contributes to rapid colon transit), so if you eat something that's reddish or orange (not necessarily fruit; this could be the contents of a seasoning packet for rice), some of that may not get digested and will end up in your diarrhea -- giving it an orange tinge."

oh yeah two per day.
this all started after I ate a chikfila salad last wednesday. but I dont think that would do it. I had two bites of a polish sausage at Costco on saturday. that's all....
food poisoning maybe?

It most certainly could. And urgent medical care sounds in order.
If you cannot investigate it, I hope you can find someone to do that for you. There are certain steps to take to find out more.
First: call your county health dept. to see if there have been similar symptoms reported.
Second: call the place you ate that. Talk with the manager.
Beyond that, check all the recent recall. Sunflower seeds in many products have been on the recall list all week.

GLUTEN could also be the culprit.
Most salads are not gluten free, even if no croutons in them.
If you are not gluten-free, no need to call. If you are normally gluten free, call the place and ask about that salad if it's "certified" to be GF. They would need to be made in a gluten free environment, any ingredient added included any dressing should be "certified" GF, etc. They should be able to at least answer that question. -

- Be sure you are not taking a PPI as that can really set up someone on antibiotics for contracting / developing c. diff
Also avoid PPI Rx [Proton Pump Inhibitors]. They have been directly linked as a contributing "set up" to c. diff. Detail here.
PPIs also have other risks aside from this issue. -

Oh, I know the orange water diarrhea situation very, very well.
I think it was a coinfection of Lyme, something gram negative. I had not been on antibiotics at all so I had no idea what was happening but it can be caused by e coli, some of the other exotic food poisonings, and of course Lyme and co.
I don't think it's your pancreas. But if you have a gallbladder that might be involved.

Mucus can really harbor harmful microbes so it's best to not let it accumulate in our bodies. Diary products are the main culprit.
Still, it just seems wise to have had some kind of medical laboratory test done to determine if you have a particular infection going on whether c. diff or food poisoning - and to assess organ functions.
It's not too late to go to urgent care.
Electrolytes could also be out of balance. -

If you have a Whole Foods or similar market close, they likely have a good electrolyte product without dyes and chemicals as so many do.

The string things yes ...i did many a stool test .third one out of pocket specialist diagnosed giardia and ascaris, salad bars ar notorious, maybe samonilla but could be diverticlitus never cleared up ? ...the colon lady said white stringy things were candida ...neem tinadazole fazed it but it was herbs and rife that sorta got it need to confirm its gone ...ever been to mexico or even southwest .?.we have it here ..clearing out other flora maybhave given it ground ..also only like 4%of pbx reach the colon

whew...got in drs office at noon. he thinks it might be either a viral or bacterial infection. said it was obvious something has irritated my stomach.
I did, however, talk him into doing amalyse and lipase us liver function.
he's off tomorrow but said somebody would call.
my sister has severe gerd with barretts. said mine sounds like reflux.

this sounds terrible but my husband is going on a trip for two weeks.
hope the blood work comes back ok.
I do feel a gristle kind of lump under my left rib. I moves around and is very sore. also if you press on the lowest ribs, they hurt.

That "gristle" feeling thing may be a lipoma (of which I have many) which just a fatty mass. I have one that sits on top of my floating rib and if it gets pressed or squished it (the rib) hurts.
I even have a HUGE one just above my umbilical hernia scar (just above my belly button which has a source of fun [the scar] as when young people see the scar and ask about it I tell them it was from my Cesarean ).
It is just a fat deposit. The doc says it's like a cell blew up with fat.
