I am lucky enough to have what feels like a UTI yeast infection combination. Saw dr. today and she said there were "trace" amounts of whatever determines infection.
Thinking about trying to just pound more sugar free cranberry juice and mannose. Could all the juice be why my test showed so low positive? (Even though I am in misery) Also went through almost a whole bottle of d mannose in last few days.
Anyone have luck with macrobid and uti?
Is the macrobid effective against Lyme and co too?
Thanks

Cranberry juice is actually a bladder irritant if you already have a sensitive bladder.
Macrobid helped me when I had UTIs. Did she give you meds for yeast?
I'm not sure about the macrobid is question re: Lyme.

Personally, I would stop the juice (esp if it contains chemicals) ..
Go with the D-Mannose.
If that doesn't work, you will need to take something stronger. Just stay away from fluoroquinolones.

Macrobid works great for me when I get UTIs. If the doctor does a culture, I believe they can tell which med will work best. There is a possibility you could herx from this med even though it is not used to treat Lyme.
I hope you feel better soon!
