Just ran across an interesting article at:

Unorthodox Alternate Therapies Marketed to Treat Lyme Disease NCBI National Institutes of Health. Apr 6, 2015.

Methods:

Internet searches using the Google search engine were performed to identify the websites and services that marketed nonantimicrobial therapies for Lyme disease.

IN SOME CASES, THE THERAPIES WERE FOUND AFTER READING TESTIMONIALS POSTED BY PATIENTS IN ONLINE SUPPORT GROUPS.

The article states "There is NO therapeutic efficacy to any of these treatments for Lyme disease:

1. Oxygen and reactive oxygen

2. Energy and radiation

3. Heavy metals and chelation

4. Nutrients

5. Biological and pharmacological

At the end of the article, there is a disclaimer section, which reads:

"The contents of this article are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official view of the NIH.

YET THE WEBSITE IS : NIH.gov

There's also a conflict of interest page:

"All authors have submitted to the disclosure of potential conflicts of interest. Among potential conflicts of interest are;

An expert witness in legal proceedings related to Lyme disease

An unpaid board member of the American Lyme a Disease Foundation

An expert witness in malpractice cases related to Lyme disease, who has also recieved funding from the CDC for research

A consultant, and part owner of Abbott, who developed the Lyme disease vaccine.

And the other usual suspects, Steele, Auwaeter, Baker, Wormser.

Dear CDC,

PLEASE FIND A CURE FOR ALL TICK BORN INFECTIONS

PLEASE UPDATE YOUR GUIDELINES

PLEASE ALLOW THE NEW TESTS THAT ARE ALREADY DEVELOPED, TO BE RECOGNIZED AS A CDC DIAGNOSIS OF ALL SPECIES OF TICK BORN INFECTIONS

PLEASE REQUIRE ALL DOCTORS TO NEW TRAINING ACCORDING TO ILADS TREATMENTS FOR TICK BORN INFECTIONS

PLEASE HELP US. WE ARE DYING. THANK YOU.

Maybe we should list the authors of this trash by name? And I tossed in a few facts and opinions in the event someone isn't familiar with them.

THEY ARE THE REASON YOU ARE STILL SICK!

The reason they wrote this trash is because they need more "fluff" for their new Lyme guidelines (to fill up the reference section), so this is one of several similar articles they've made up and will reference in their next guidelines.

Meet the Chumps

Lantos PM- flunky from Duke in NC- beats up on our docs and others to hammer in his war cry of "no chronic Lyme disease". A real fool. A total joke. Wants to walk in Wormser's shoes some day.

Ed (I'll even lie under oath) Shapiro- IDSA guideline author- Yale Blowfish. Thinks he can control heaven and earth from underneath his pitiful sewer rock. A really sick mind and shamefully he deals with children. Volunteered to testify against our Dr. J in CT. What a lame human being.

Auwaerter PG- IDSA guideline editor- Hopkins- goofy little fellow who promotes everything wrong with Lyme. If he says it you can be sure the opposite is true. Needs a good spanking. IDSA's official spokesperson.

Baker PJ- Hothead who gave out grants from NIH to Idiots of IDSA guidelines & other slimes. Retired from NIH, hates all of us and our docs and now he is the lead pig at the ALDF, the IDSA's sister organization.

Halperin JJ- IDSA guideline author- did residency at Mass General in Boston- drifter and grifter- not a lick of sense. Thinks he is the KING of Neuro Lyme.

McSweegan- McStupid- a really old "Hopkins wanna be" who harasses, degrades and attacks innocent women and children. Moved out of NIH and went to Global Virus Network with his Butthead Buddy- Mr. Vaccine Millionaire, Stanley Plotkin. (But will kiss or kick anyones backside to get what he wants.)

Wormser GP- Lead author & Chairman of Panel for IDSA guidelines. NY Medical College, trained at Hopkins, has tainted minds to Lyme across the globe for too long. Quote- "In many patients, post-treatment symptoms appear to be more related to the aches and pains of daily living rather than to either Lyme disease or a tick-borne co-infection...”

BTW- That article, BB, is to support this section (below) that will be in the new guidelines.

They published this chart (below) last time out of hate for all of us, but had no support for it. So with the new guideline rules they need to make up something- "fluff"- to say there is literature supporting it.

Previous 2006 IDSA Lyme Guidelines Said These Are The Things We Can't Have. I've read a lot of guidelines and have not seen any that have a list of what patients can not do.

(Notice the next to the last item. Can you believe they deny us even that?)

Table 4. Selected antimicrobials, drug regimens, or other mo- dalities not recommended for the treatment of Lyme disease.

Doses of antimicrobials far in excess of those provided in tables 2 and 3

Multiple, repeated courses of antimicrobials for the same episode of Lyme disease or a duration of antimicrobial therapy prolonged far in excess of that shown in table 3

Combination antimicrobial therapy

Pulsed-dosing (i.e., antibiotic therapy on some days but not on other days)

First-generation cephalosporins, benzathine penicillin G, fluoroquinolones, carbapenems, vancomycin, metronidazole, tinidazole, tri- methoprim-sulfamethoxazole, amantadine, ketolides, isoniazid, or fluconazole

Empirical antibabesiosis therapy in the absence of documentation of active babesiosis

Anti-Bartonella therapies

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy

Fever therapy (with or without malaria induction)

Intravenous immunoglobulin

Ozone

Cholestyramine

Intravenous hydrogen peroxide

Vitamins or nutritional managements

Magnesium or bismuth injections

Oh, and the spies among us are McStupid, who hangs on and lives for every word we say. He didn't even stop his attacks on us on the day of his own mothers funeral.

Can't believe a grown OLD man would lurk and read posts in a patient's chat room rather than make a worthwhile contribution to our world or at the very least to his own family, but he is obsessed and that is how he gets his jollies.

And his buddy Nadleman who was pinched hard for his attacks a long time ago (Sci-Med), but he has finally come out from his septic tank to continue the attacks.

Others visit here and at our websites, but these two are the most obsessed.

Notice that all of these doctors are associated with MAJOR medical center universities. I just saw a movement disorder specialist at Baylor (kicking myself for going!!) and he did not believe in symptoms of Lyme "once your have been treated".

He did not believe in Glutathione, Curcumin, NAC etc. as treatments for illness or that mold, yeast etc can interfere with your ability to get well.

He told me that all of my symptoms were related to stress and that caused me to have "psychogenic movement disorder" so basically all in my head. Of course I was scared (and immediately posted here) but while waiting for people to respond, googled this illness and low and behold immediately his name came up as he has published probably 80% of research papers on this topic!

All of these "specialists" have no clue beyond what their focus of research is and their agenda is skewed. I thank God for this forum where we can ask questions and get so much information and support.

This is so maddening! [Mad] How can these people sleep at night?

I wish they could live in our shoes or watch a loved one live in our shoes for just a day and they would change their tunes quickly.

Hi Tincup and thanks. Did I interpret what you said correctly? IDSA is updating their guidelines and they are imminent?

Yes, Bob, they are doing new guidelines. They are stalled now because they couldn't find 3 wise men at the IDSA that could follow the new rules for writing guidelines.

Instead of trying to do it, they shipped them elsewhere to have others do their dirty work while they flooded the journals with garbage they wrote or their new "buds" wrote to support their upcoming guideline junk.

Here is an overview of what we will be up against. These are the new Swiss guidelines. I read thru and put some quotes at the link below for those interested.

Basically, they say there is no such thing as chronic Lyme and our treatment, our only treatment, if we are still sick after treated for the 2-3 weeks is this...

"The main therapeutic options remain cognitive behavioural therapy and low-impact aerobic exercise programmes.”

We don't even get the anti-inflammatory meds like advil, or antidepressants this time around! They are the insurers "girlfriends".

https://sites.google.com/site/getitrighttreatthebite/ticks/treat-the-bite/2016-swiss-treatment-guidelines

And they are all a sick bunch of slimes.

"they couldn't find 3 wise men at the IDSA that could follow the new rules for writing guidelines. " Hope Springs Eternal, but I imagine in the long run they won't have any trouble finding unscrupulous flunkies to fill this role.

these are the Swiss guidelines for POST LYME NON-TREATMENT: let the patient imagine his illness.

If the IDSA can not find smart guys, we could EXPORT some good Swiss doctors to you in the USA??

Yep, the same who took so much care in producing the previous guidelines above?

We have many great doctors who are responsible for the SWISS SOCIETY for INFECTIOUS DISEASES here:

http://www.sginf.ch/members/members.html?group=8&filter=reset

We would LOVE to send some of these guys for you, Americans!

This paper above is from 2005, they concluded in the end that they hadn't found ANYTHING new in post-lyme disease in the previous 10 years!

So expect that the BRAND NEW study from 2017 will not find anything new in the previous 10 years either!!

Good news: your doctor doesn't even have to study the new guidelines, as they remain the same in the last 25 years!!
