To add: I meant to be replying to another thread - accidentally typed this under a new topic - too tired to delete/type over. Some of this info might be of interest to others anyway. -------
Blue - you could order the basic test yourself online w/o Rx. Look at PrivateMdLabs Immunoglobulins G,A,M Total Serum $60 Testing lab is Labcorp Doing that could give you an idea of your total IGG. Also - do you have copies of your CMP's? Complete metabolic profile? Some of those include Globulin and A/G ratio. I think what tipped off one of my doctors to test was that my Globs were low and A/G ratio high.
The subclass test for IgG 1-4 is a more expensive test - probably would need to be ordered by a doctor.
Some folks can have normal total IgG levels but be deficient in subclasses. That would not exactly qualify you for IVIG - but......would prompt some doctors to do the vaccine challenge. If that is failed - perhaps IVIG warranted. Hope this helps.
