Hello, I just joined and enjoying reading through all the topics. I realize this has probably been asked numerous times but I am going to ask again.
I'm curious for the members that have been a part of Lymenet and see all the questions and answers and results....
What is the best form of treatment? The use of antibiotics or can you get better without them and using natural treatments? I was diagnosed in 2009 and got well after years of antibiotics. Fast forward and all symptoms are back since August 2016 and I just tested positive again?! I cannot stomach taking antibiotics for years again.
Have you seen numerous members get cured going the natural route? It's all a gamble but after months of research I do believe building the immune system and detoxing is key.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you😊

I'm currently doing the antibiotic route. My Dr. said the best 'natural' thing to do is mHOT. Phoiph can walk you through this if you want. I don't know much about it.
I've been thinking about it though.

We had luck with natural. Rife, homeopathy, energy scanning weekly with Asyra, paleo for autoimmune and acupuncture as a finish. There are lots of natural things we used as we zigzagged our way out of the situation.
Best of luck to you!

- When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods, because lyme is so very complex & unique, as are possible coinfections:
if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -
- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )
so they really know all they can about the science of lyme . . . how lyme (& other TBD) act and what we can do about that in various ways. Proper ASSESSMENT of not just lyme but coinfectoins is vital. Someone trained by ILADS is best to assess.
Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.
When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.
For those considering complementary support methods / or other avenues entirely:
Herbal Safety considerations & reference books; etc.
BOOKS - Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:
knowing which methods offer assertive & direct impact, which are only support and which are both. And when to use what, how to combine, & when to step back.
You can compare and contrast many approaches with links to articles, books, methods . . .
BODY WORK methods / links (and why anyone who works on your spine MUST be LL to the degree they at least know to never suddenly twist neck or spine. Never. Ever - not if there is inflammation in the spine with active infection. And that we should never be advised to do neck / head / shoulder stands.)
Links here to two major sources: Buhner, & Zhang. Be sure to get their books.

If you can't stomach abx, you're like many of us.
There is no choice then, you got to go natural or alternative.
I can stomach abx for 2 days, after it becomes my main problem. Here some people take abx for YEARS, a few have taken a decade or more (on and off).
There are too many intelligent ways to get treatment, that are far more sophisticated that mere poisoning drugs.
Of course if you can stomach them, it's a way to go (there are dozens of ways to treat).
