Has anyone ever gotten grey lines on their nails? half of my index finger has lines going up the nail. Not sure if its from all the medications I'm on but never had this before.

I've heard it's due to lack of zinc, but I'm not sure -

You might want to investigate photo-onycholysis. This has been associated with doxycycline and other antibiotics. Another thought is you may not be getting adequate oxygenation. Or it could be nothing at all.

Very interesting, thanks. I'm nervous because I have two vertical lines that are a faded black color go straight up nail from nail bed. My dermatologist may do a biopsy which takes off your whole nail and section of nail bed. I also read it could be from all the medications too. Very strange?? Anyway, thank you everyone for all your help.
