I've been getting IV Magnesium for the past few weeks to help calm down my shaking nervous system & anxiety/freak-out brain symptoms from Lyme. The first IV I had made a big difference, calmed things down in my body and brain, the symptom relief felt so good.
Now sometimes (but not every time) it seems like I get more uncomfortable as the IV is dripping in me. My body gets this weighted-down, heavy feeling that I don't like and sometimes I feel like my shaking & tremors return more as I'm getting the IV. I don't understand why.
Has this happened to anyone else with Mag IV's? I'm wondering if it's just too stressful on my sick body to get these IV's and have this stuff pumping through my veins...that maybe it's not the actual magnesium causing the discomfort.
I've always been SUPER-sensitive to things that don't bother other people (ugh) so don't know if it's that or something else that the Mag is doing to me. My IV bag also has some Vitamin C in it but only 5 grams. I didn't think that would be enough C to cause a herx.
Just wondering if anyone can relate.

Iv mag did the same ...helped twitching ..but then i think it made biofilm stronger. .idk ..i was doing 800mg mag chloride with 2g glutithione as a push ...i get real warm with a flush kinda unconfortable for a bit ...it acts as a vasodilator ...i have been doing 15 or 25g vit iv as detox and i get dizzy then relief ....
vit c can be bad if you are g6pd deficient ....like bactrim and many other meds use this enzyme ...at higher doses it becomes oxidative rather than anti through h202, interaction with water in your blood stream ...may have to do with sod and catalase production ...can you do ozone ?

Thanks guys. After feeling awful on my Magnesium IV yesterday, now I'm less shaky today so far so who knows what it did to me.
My DR doesn't understand what happened since I tolerated it in the past. He said when you're as sick as I am though, the more sensitive you'll be to anything intravenous or oral so I guess that could've been the issue yesterday...I went in very sick.
I also got an Ozone/Activated Oxygen IV yesterday right before the Mag IV so that may have contributed to my slight improvement today. Been getting two of those a week lately, been seeing some improvement but very up and down...hoping they'll help more as time goes on.
Gonna take a week off from the Mag IV's because it made me so uncomfortable getting it yesterday. The DR suggested I increase my oral Mag to replace the IV so I'll do that for now.
It's so crazy how Lyme can make a body SO sensitive to anything. Hoping for a day where I can tolerate things more...that would be SOOO nice.
