Does anyone know which infection would cause this, if any?

For the last few months I have been getting these areas that look totally normal but are really itchy, most often on my legs but also on shoulder and collarbone, and when I scratch the area a little while later there is usually a bruise and lot's of little blood spots under the skin.

Sometimes the itchy sensation begins when I am walking or exercising.

I suppose its some kind of dermatographia? I occasionally get that too but in the more typical sense with raised red scratch marks but no bruising.

Anyone have any idea what causes this strange symptom? No hives or anything like that are visible.

I get this on the inside of my inner thighs. really itchy.

Look into mast cells as a possible cause.

Lymetoo, apparently exercise is a trigger for mast cells (according to WebMD) so could be whats causing it.

So odd how I end up with a big bruise where it was itchy. The inflammation must lead to bleeding under the skin.

Yes, and those with MCAD bruise easily. We often have thin blood due to our levels of heparin.
