(Edited to break up text)

Hi lymenetters.

I have a few questions that I know you folks will have great ideas about.

I am switching my primary care doctor (finally.) I requested my records, a huge file, as it's been 7 years.

I was shocked at both the notes and the info that was never discussed or revealed to me.

One thing in particular was my heavy metal test from many years ago.

I was told I had elevated mercury, but was not told I also had high arsenic and lead (which said would be reported to the CDC)

So. Question number 1: How would I safely on my own reduce these heavy metals? And should I raise this with my new Dr.?

Next, I am reading this new Lyme book by William Rawls.

https://www.amazon.com/Unlocking-Lyme-Practical-Solutions-Chronic-ebook/dp/B01N7WMNIP/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1493477175&sr=8-3&keywords=lyme+disease+books

Seems very sane, sound advice.
Question 2: is he a reliable source?

And Lastly, over Easter I had the flu and pneumonia. I was on a very short course of augmentiin and biaxin.

And also advised to increase my steroid inhaler to twice a day. At the end of the abx I got a rash.

Rashes were one of my signature Lyme symptoms.

But I have also gotten rashes when I've gotten cortisone shots. This rash was more like the rashes I get from cortisone.

(I know steroids are counter indicated for Lyme...

but sometimes you don't have a choice and I am supposedly cured for years)

I have been told one can't be allergic to cortisone.

So question number 3: could this rash be Lyme related? Could the abx have released some cysts? Or die off?

Or could the upped dose of inhaled steroids have activated Lyme? Or am I truly allergic to steroids?

I don't expect hard and fast answers, we all know we with Lyme are very complicated... but curious about your thoughts.

If scott f condones rawls then yes it must be a good read . He sells a consolodated buhner herb regimine online too where tincture and whole herbs under buhners may be too much .but if something isnt working or works too well its hard to isolate as they are premixed .

i imagine you use a steroid inhaler for asthma? A lot of times that is from cpn which is 3 form systemic pathogen like lyme. See www.cpnhelp.org for info ..nac or sida acuta may be of help

on the metals dr k uses cilantro tincture to mobilize ,chlorella to bind ,and ion foot detox to chelate ..i have had success with acv and bentonite clay as paste in a hot bath
.takes a while

the rash is not unrelated in my opinion. How long were you in treatment. Did you treat all coinfections to completion? Are you currently on any herbs or other treatment?

I hope others will chime in here but i have heard of peoples asthma resolving with bvt .my microscopy still ahows intercellular spirochetes after many abx treatment

Thanks, Blue. I treated for 18 months rotating abx usually 2 -3 at a time. I am much much better...

but I likely had Lyme for 25 years before treating except for the occaissional abx for something else. I stay away from herbals as I am highly allergic to most grasses and weeds so I'm hesitant to take high doses.

I will look into cpn.my asthma is allergic asthma. I had nasal polyp surgery in February and have been much more allergic since...

I read the Kindle parts of Rawl's book, made me want to buy it. It looks very good, in my opinion, lots of myths in lyme disease are debunked.

Chelation: no truth fitting to all. You got to read a lot, better find someone to help you with protocols... It's a life long commitment, I find.

Dr. K. used to bring a heavy metal detector (in the air) to conferences. He showed values at the beginning of the meeting, and then, at the end. In the end of a couple of hours, the values went astronomically high (meaning, people were breathing out heavy metals!!!!)

So, I guess, no matter how much we clean, like many pollutants, the toxins go back inside....

As for allergies and lyme rash... hard to tell without photos.

I'm not too afraid of rashes, as I got them during lyme treatment (on and off). It could be bart rashes, but my Bb rashes looked different (like less red, more purple...).

Bart rashes, I think, I had on and off a few times, even when I thought bart was gone...

I never really worry much: I just wanted to feel better, and if herbs / treatment was making me feel better, why would a rash bother me?

I'd rather have rashes than feel miserable.

I do think anti microbials may cause rash (not from allergy, but from attacking microbes). I think in many cases, that is positive (because the herbs finally got to the hiding microbes).

Allergies are never good. I hate allergies. So if something I took caused me allergies, I stopped taking it. I find allergies mess up with my health, my immunity, my energy and had to be avoided as much as possible, in order to reduce inflammation.

Inflammation sucks, and I think, mess with my body's ability to fight lyme and anything.

I used energy testing when I was too confused, so that I could distinguish a rash from 'microbial' or 'allergy'...

Looking at the case from a classical homeopathic point of view: IF the rash appeared and you feel better in yourself then that was the body pushing dis-ease to the surface which is the safest place for it. That's going in the right direction. Brussels expressed above how she can have a rash but feel better.

Now let's say a person has a rash and puts cortisone on it and it disappears but then they start having seizures or asthma or even a big drop in energy (this could happen over a day/week/month) - then that is not the right direction.

And that is how a skin doctor can hand off a case to a neurologist or an allergist and does not realize what has happened.

Skin symptoms and asthma are related and can ping pong back and forth until someone goes in and sorts it out on miasmic and metabolic histamine pathway level (would be looking at diet, environment too..you know...we just have to go back to the core of what a human body requires to remain healthy and reinforce that).
