Hello all, For the last 2 weeks my ankles and legs have been swollen and I've gained 15 lbs. in a week! I love to eat but this is ridiculous! Wound up in ER yesterday because I was short of breath and the swelling thing. Urgent Care sent me to the ER concerned about possible heart issues. ER did all of the blood work to check kidneys, liver and heart and all were normal. Did ultrasound of legs to check for blood clots and thank God there were none. Did x-ray of chest and all looked good. Urine analysis was also good. ER doc said he couldn't diagnose anything and thought it would be a good idea to see my pulmonologist. I do have sleep apnea and wear my C-PAP machine overnight. Whatever! Haven't been on abx for over 2 years due to having knee replacements and surgeon would not do surgery if I were on antibiotics. I stayed off and have felt ok except for the aches and pains which I normally have. I am starting the Cowden protocol tomorrow and just wanted to check in to see if this edema situation has happened to anyone else who are not on antibiotics. Thanks for your input. It's always appreciated.
