Is it worth doing a cd57 or another Igenex western blot to see if I have relapsed?
It has been too long for me to really remember the igg vs igm bands and timeframes.

No sense doing a western blot. People who had lyme in the past will test positive on a western blot because your body will produce antibodies to lyme for YEARS after you get rid of the infection.
For those of us who have had lyme in the past, diagnosis is basically by symptoms. There are some DIRECT tests for the lyme bacteria, and they are VERY expensive.
My lyme doc did some relatively new test on me about 6 years ago. It said I had lyme. Meanwhile I didn't have any lyme symptoms.
What I had was a severe sinus infection consisting of MRSA and 2 other normally hospital-acquired infections. I switched ENTs and got rid of my sickness.
So, I spent $500 on this worthless test! Learn from my experience.
And, my insurance would not pay anything toward this test. You know that insurance is going to follow the IDSA. YOu will not be reimbursed for any direct test for lyme.
Relapse is diagnosed by symptoms and giving you a trial course of treatment basically.
The CD 57 is not reliable.

"It took me about two weeks to get up the full dosage of the eight or nine (buhner's) herbs.
I believe it is working, and perhaps faster than the antibioticsi did. (I was on them for over two years, as I recall.)
The most succinct way for me to tell this audience why I think it's working is this: it feels like I'm on flagyl.
(Another member of this forum described it to me the same way without my prompting, via PM.)
In fact, the last few days have been as bad as I remember any of the flagyl pulses being.
To begin the Lyme protocol, I started Japanese knotweed and eleuthero because the local health food store had them.
Two days later, I was feeling terrible.
It may have been the Japanese knotweed or it may have been my switch from capsules to tincture on andrographis.
I started the cat's claw last night and knowing it has anti-inflammatory effects, I started on a higher dosage than I normally would have.
I think that with extra chlorella and ibuprofen has taken some of the edge off the herx."
