I'm back to being extremely severely ill again.

I'm alternating IV ceftazidime and amoxil. My symptoms increase enormously on the ceftazidime, and they get better on the amoxil.

Wish I could tell if the ceftazidime is making me herx or if my infections are just growing because ceftazidime's ineffective.

I thought the ceftazidime was definitely ineffective, but my white blood cell count goes up while I'm on it. Normally they are low. Also a lymph node swole up after I had been on it a week.

So hard to tell what's going on ):

So sorry to hear about the worsening of your health. I don't know why you are experiencing this, but your questions are good ones. Can your doctor help you here?

Also, here is a list of side effects for one of the meds. Maybe check thru them to see if any apply to you.

Thanks Tincup. (: I finally figured out that I wasn't herxing, just getting sicker. My doc put me on Bicillin, so we'll see how that goes! I'm slowly figuring out this disease.
