Fighting oral yeast on my lips and one mouth corner. Ugh.

Here's what I've been doing:

1. Brush with my Sonicare after I eat ANYTHING. Besides my teeth, I brush my tongue, gums, inside of my cheeks and anything inside my mouth I can reach. (I sanitize my brush head with alcohol in a spray bottle, then rinse it.)

2. I put 6-7 drops of oregano oil in a small amount of cold water, swish for as long as I can, then swallow. Do NOT rinse or eat anything. Let the oil do its work. (Yes, it is the most vile substance on the planet.)

3. My dentist prescribed Nystatin & Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream. I apply this to my lips. (And why, oh why, is it perfumed????)

4. Being 100% compliant w/o sugar/yeast products.

5. Chew only gum with Xylitol.

6. Keep mouth moisturized by drinking ice water throughout the day, swishing at times.

7. Apply ice wrapped in a paper towel to my lips in the evening. Simmers the irritation and burning down.

8. Go through the entire cleansing protocol just before bed, apply cream.

9. Take 2 probiotics before bed and one mid-afternoon between doses of antibiotics. I try to space the probiotics at least 3 hrs from any antibiotic.

I am definitely seeing progress.

This website has alot of good info:
http://toxicteeth.com/

I haven't tried any of the products. (I don't have any commercial interest in the website or products.) I've been reading the owner's newsletters for years & she posts alot of good info.

SEAGATE has a very nice glycerin tincture of Olive Leaf Extract. Very nice, indeed as it just soaks into the mouth tissue. Capsules for systemic help, too.

I do not have a candida problem but this helps with other mouth ulcer issues I deal with.

Thanks, Keebler. I'll check that out. I have had their olive leaf extract capsules in the past.

I just bought a little ice cube tray at DG with silicone in the bottom of the little wells. I'm going to flavor some plain yogurt with stevia and make frozen losenges. My problem isn't what you'd consider severe but an ounce of prevention...

I've ordered A-Bart and should get that on Friday. Eager to start that for Bart.

Freezing the yogurt may make the cultures inactive... Just a thought.

I checked on that first and had found this from the National Yogurt Association:

The freezing process does not kill any significant amount of the cultures—in fact, during the freezing process the cultures go into a dormant state, but when eaten and returned to a warm temperature within the body, they again become active and are capable of providing all the benefits of cultures in a refrigerated ...

I figure if a pop a few of these frozen 'yogurt losenges' throughout the day, it would be a good thing. I have all flavors of stevia from A to Z!
