I was treated for lyme & co for about three years with oral abx. I was

feeling really good for the last two years but now I have symptoms

returning.

These symptoms have returned in the last six months: cognitive

issues-forgetting names, words, what I am trying to say, brain feels

"slow" to process. What I would describe as bone pain in right lower

leg daily. Sometimes this pain travels to my upper leg. I have a hard

time walking up stairs with this side of my body. My feet also hurt all

day long-achy. Jaw clenching returned in just the last couple of

weeks.

I don't think my stomach can handle abx anymore. I need to find

some alternative treatments before this gets any further out of

control.

Thoughts on what is causing these symptoms?

does your brain feel swollen a bit but without sharp headaches? liike maybe pressure in your head?

if so, that is likely babesia which is NASTY

best info on babesia on the internet is right here.

http://www.townsendletter.com/July2015/babesia0715.html

although to be frank your symptoms could be lyme or any co-infection really.

some alternatives to look into are rife (with DNA frequencies), mHBOT (there is a great thread here on it), IV DMSO (hard to find, not a lot of info out there but some have had great succcess), and various herbal protocols which I dont personally know much about.

No, my brain really doesn't feel swollen and no pressure. No headaches.

It looks something like neurolyme.
Maybe candida??

Why don't you start Buhner?

The memory and slow brain symptoms are lyme. See them listed in Burrascano on pages 9-11.

The leg and feet symptoms sound like bartonella to me. See this from page 26 of Burrascano (chart showing bart symptoms):

"Sore soles, especially in the morning.

· Tender sub-cutaneous nodules along the extremities, especially outer thigh, shins, and occasionally along the triceps."

So, the shin and thigh bone pain could be this. And, with bart, the feet can hurt all over, not just the soles of feet.

When you were treated in the past, did you get treated for bart? If not, that could easily be why the lyme has returned. An untreated coinfection will keep lyme from being eliminated from the body.

Jaw clenching isn't a common symptom of any of the diseases. When you had it last time, did lyme treatment make it go away? or babs treatment? or bart treatment?

If you can remember which treatment made it go away, that will give you a clue as to which disease is causing that one.

In order not to relapse, you MUST do the Burrascano exercise program which is one continuous hour of weight lifting every OTHER day.

This will boost your immune system so that it returns to normal. If you don't do this, your immune system will remain weak and subject to being overrun by lyme again. Not all lyme germs can be killed, so you must rely on a healthy immune system to keep lyme in check for the rest of your life.

"Despite antibiotic treatments, patients will NOT return to normal unless they exercise, so therefore an aggressive rehab program is absolutely necessary. It is a fact that a properly executed exercise program can actually go beyond the antibiotics in helping to clear the symptoms and to maintain a remission." (p. 31)

Do a full body workout each time. Exercise all muscle groups: arms, chest, abs, back, buttocks, and legs.

Use light weights and do many repetitions. This is how you are able to lift weights for one continuous hour.

Did you do this weightlifting when you last treated lyme? I did and I continued this exercise for at least a year after finishing treatment.

Now, I try to lift weights at least once or twice each week.

It is now over 12 years since I completed my lyme treatment and I am still symptom-free, enjoying my life. My lyme doc (rather famous) told me at my first appointment that I would NEVER get well if I didn't do this exercise.

So, please take what Burrascano says to heart.

If you became symptom free last time, you will be able to do so again. This time, add in anything you missed doing that Burrascano tells the patient to do.

I hope you have not begun smoking as that weakens the immune system. Also, stay away from steroids. And, I would not drink any alcohol for at least a year after becoming symptom free since this can also weaken your immune system.

If you have not thoroughly studied the Burrascano Guidelines, I suggest you do so.

You can treat lyme with IM Bicillin (shots to the butt). They work great for most patients. This avoids the stomach completely.

If it turns out you have bart, I don't know if there are IV meds that will treat it (there should be), but it is possible to clear it quickly (like in a month) if you jump on this now.

Check your tongue first thing in the morning. If you see yeast, then begin treating for yeast now so that you are rid of it before starting to treat these infections again.

Hmm...definitely could be candida.

Honestly, I'm scared to do this by myself (Buhner) without any guidance from an LLMD or someone.

In response to TF:

I'm GF, DF, caffeine free, don't smoke or drink, and get IVig every 4

weeks for a CVID diagnosis. Still working on the sugar free. I love

working out, especially lifting weights, but life has kept me from it. I

did have the jaw clenching before.

I was treated for Bart & lyme at the same time.
