I had a dental splint get adjusted wrong two months ago, and I started catching the edge of tongue or cheeks in teeth at night. I developed an extremely painful sore st the edge of my tongue, and since then I have a few at all times. I also have peeling lips with very deep cracks that balm doesn't fix. I don't know if the two are related.

The mold has gotten much worse in my home, and I am again spending every moment possible to find clean housing on my budget. I have to shower and wash clothes daily or I will scratch myself bloody with almost no sleep at night. My thinking, memory, and focus are so poor that something that should take minutes to do may take hours. I am not getting to doctors because I am not well enough to drive.

I think Tutu is right about the mast cell activation, but I don't know what I can do immediately about it, except avoid foods that obviously offend. I am trying to keep the mold down in the house.

The sores seem somewhat like canker sores, but not exactly. I don't know if they are viral or fungal.

The pain distracts me during the day and further disrupts sleep at night.

Does anyone have ideas?

I have finger cracks as well. Drinking bone broth helps. I don't know if finger cracks are related.

I am so worn down from poor sleep and a day and night focus on all the health patches. I am trying to define core issues. I know mold is one. I am trying to move to a dry climate, because indoor mold is very common where I live.

Thank you so much for being present.

Sounds like you're having a rough time Jubilee.

Maybe this might be helpful short term for you.

https://www.diffuserworld.com/FeedItem/Kill-Mold-Naturally-With-Essential-Oils/

I switch up different oils every week.
I'm using frankensence this week.

For chapped hands and lips, I make my own skin balm.
I melt beeswax. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oils.
I use lemon, eucalyptus, and tea tree oil.
You can substitute beeswax for almond rose oil.
I applied generously while watching tv at night.

I also run my negative ion air machine constantly since Santa delivered it. Air smells crisp and clean.

Your goal of moving out is on target towards wellness.

Thank you for the ideas. I'm running an ozonator and other air cleaners. Does anyone know if the oils will gum up an ozonator??

Thank you for the great link on oils!

Cracked lips, and often mouth sores, are often from lack of good bacteria. Take really good bacteria orally, with numerous strains and a high probiotic count.

Visbiome, or Visbiome Extra Strength (that version is rx) are really good. They are the new version of VSL #3 and VSL#3 DS(double strength, which is rx. The Visbiome is better now than the VSL, as there was a split in the company.

Some companies even have probiotics for the mouth specifically, although I haven't tried those.

For healing cracks or skin irritations quickly we use lanolin salve. It's intended to soothe irritation and heal painful cracks that can occur in the nipples with breastfeeding.

It should be easy to find anywhere, Medela and Lansinoh are the brand names. I use it on my mouth, inside my nose, anywhere it's needed.

.

Painful mouth sores that look similar to canker sores are the most common sign of Behcet's disease.

Look into vitamin deficiencies.
Symptoms of vitamin b2 deficiency include cracks and sores at the corners of the mouth, fissures of the lips, and an inflamed, magenta-colored tongue.

Gz suggested lanolin.
I found lanolin to be very helpful. If people knew about it, they’d stop buying hand creams.

The best thing for my skin was taking fish oil.
My hands are no longer severely chapped, and my heels do not crack.
I wash my hands multiple times per day, and the skin remains smooth and conditioned.
