I think if he did, many on this board would have been aware of it. The obituary you see may be for Dr. Charles Ray Jones in OK last year and that is not for him. We did have trouble with our last visit. We called for confirmation and never heard back. We did not want to drive all the way to CT from NJ without confirmation. I will be talking to someone this weekend who may know more.

- the word "Obituary" will appear next to a lot of people's names in a results listings / links from a Google search, some folks with same names as others [there was a same name man who died but not recently so I did not search further on that identity] - or in the case of one search result, the obituary was about some other man who died from lyme.
Also be aware that with all the ancestry search sites, so often when any name is searched, there will be obits listed in the search links - often not connected at all. See the . . . that also separate out things.
When I search my own name, obituaries also pop up. It's all rather ordinary, really. So many with same names all through time.
If his office does not answer or get back to you, contact:
but they have nothing at their home page which they most likely would were there to be such news about Dr. Jones. Their home page is all about him - but as as a now living human being. -

- I just called his office. at 4:02 ET
A regular message came on about times of office ours, etc. and if this message was being heard, they are busy so "please leave a message" . . . all normal business as usual sounding.
Even if winter weather might close office, I would assume they could change the outgoing message from afar.
You might try calling again - or leave a message - just about why you were going to call them anyway and take it from there.
Pretty sure this message would not be playing were there to have been such an event, especially as if there were to be an obit, that would be at least one full day following the loss.
Just did a few various cross searches using year, location and occupation (and even with the name and term "obituary") and I see nothing that would indicate there is a current obit listing - for this specific dear man who is most likely still very much alive.
Google searches, any search engine search results will always include a mix of all sort of things, sometime related or connected but very often, not at all.
Please post back here after you have connected with the office staff. Hope that is soon.

- Good to hear. Thanks for getting the confirmation of that.
" healthy and practicing in his office" is a very good state of being for this wonderful doctor.
Now, about the heading of this thread, the "die" ? and this find doctor's name - we don't want our brains making this connection each time the thread listings are scanned - for our brains might then start to believe it .
And many who don't even know him and won't read the thread might put that into their brain and say, later on, to someeone "Oh, I did see something that said that." To prevent the rumors and and errors,
might the "die"? heading of the thread be corrected?
Always good to hear / see: " healthy and practicing in his office" -
