BARTONELLA TESTS- AS BAD OR WORSE THAN LYME TESTS

And this is a CDC study too!

QUOTE- "Of the 80 patients with suspected CSD, 17 (21.3%) were serologically positive for B. henselae by IFA.

B. henselae DNA was amplified from the peripheral blood of 11 (13.8%) patients by rPCR.

This assay detected all 56 specimens evaluated as B. henselae (10), but other Bartonella species were not identified (9)."

There is a special lab in NJ that tests for Bartonella.

Hi Tincup:

Without naming Lab's on 9 separate occasions we had Bart testing done where one lab came back positive and the other negative. I'm looking at a chart with 16 tests over a 4 year period.

On 5 of the occasions the Lab's reversed as to which was positive versus negative. By this Lab X which was positive on test 1 while Lab Y was negative on the next draw / test Lab X became negative while Lab Y results turned positive.

On only 1 occasion of the 16 tests did both labs come back positive.
