Thanks to those who submitted ticks for testing when requested. The effort was a good one!

TICK STUDY RESULTS HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED!

This study came from the ticks that the public submitted (to Arizona) for research purposes.

If you remember, people were offered free testing of their ticks, and the data they collected from those submissions has now been compiled.

I've posted some quotes and highlights for those who are not able to read the entire scientific paper. You know, Lyme brain?

It’s worth a read! And, you’ll like this, or at least relate to it… the study proves the CDC & IDSA are wrong again. BIG TIME!

Well I'll be. The truth shall set us free.

Surprises for me was the lone star is such a carrier of babs. Interesting!

Thanks TC for doing a great summary of this report.

A LLMD in Indy several years ago made the statement that she was so surprised that an extremely high % of folks she was testing was coming back positive for Anaplasma.

WHOA!! That's amazing!!

I always wondered if maybe I got babesia from a mosquito in Texas .. not a tick since I was bitten by Lone Star ticks.

I need to warn my friends and family in TX!

Yes, this is good info and I am glad we now have proof of what we have been thinking and saying that's been taken from experience!

And common sense too! [Big Grin]

I think the biggest take away here is that we can't believe the CDC/IDSA, doctors, and even local health departments when they say this tick can't transmit this diseae.

Like I've always said... Any tick can pass along multiple infections.

Never discount the fact you can't have a tick borne disease because the "officials" say that a certain kind of tick doesn't have a certain disease causing organism.
