Aperiomics "We identify every bacteria, virus, fungi and parasite known to man (over 37,000 microorganisms and about 7,500 are considered pathogenic) and provide the abundance that was in the sample. If it was Lyme or tick-borne bacteria, we identify it down to the species level. If it happens to be something else, we'll report that. We just report what exactly is in that biological sample in the most unbiased way possible" https://aperiomics.com/

Guess they don't identify every pathogen if they couldn't answer that question.

Wonder what the cost is, but be wary.

This was their answer: "Yes it covers everything that is known." One blood test would cover many things, but it is pricy! $1,000. "We identify every bacteria, virus, fungi and parasite known to man (over 37,000 microorganisms and about 7,500 are considered pathogenic) and provide the abundance that was in the sample.

This is from their site.If they recommend multiple tests, then I assume the price would be much higher than the $1,000 blood test.(of course the blood test covers more than Lyme & Co. ) "
Does Aperiomics test for Lyme Disease?
Yes. All known forms of Lyme and tick-bourne diseases are in the Aperiomics Microbial Database. Since Lyme Disease is very cryptic and likes to hide itself in various parts of the body, we recommend collection of blood, swab, urine and fecal samples to best chance of capturing the pathogen in the collection kits. If the pathogens are not in a kit, we won’t be able to find it!"

I had the blood test done. It cost $825.

The results showed no lyme, no pathogenic bacteria, no parasites, but found lots of mold including black mold.

I suffered for many years with lyme, got better with treatment (rife and dapsone), only to relapse with a whole new set of symptoms (presumably due to the mold). I am now on the generic form of vfend. We will see how well that goes.

Cadalyst, how were you tested? Was it urine, blood, sputum,...? I am asking because we thought I was clear of lyme and co., but still sick because of mold and biotoxins not able to clear out of my body. (I am now using Shoemaker protocol.)

But I recently was tested with Lyme Antigen test (urine) that showed I likely am still actively infected with relapsing fever and borellia. This was a shocker to me. I am not sure I am on the right path after getting this news.

I can get retested, but this is so discouraging after being on IV ABX for almost a year and aggressive tx. with oral ABX for several years as well. If such aggressive treatment can't kill it, then I don't know what will.

Was it your LLMD who suggested this test to you? I guess I am intrigued and would like to learn more about it. But I don't want to throw away more money in vain...

I only had the blood test done. Yes, my doctor recommended the test to me.

I took the test mainly as a tool to help me narrow down specific frequencies to use on my rife machine.

Well, to add fuel to the fire here, for the first time ever, I am testing positive by CDC standards for Lyme with 5 positive bands. This has NEVER happened to me before. However, I read that positive results could be a cross reaction with relapsing fever and periodontal disease, both a possibility.

Lyme's Syndrome is an awful diagnosis for all who know what it does mean. Nowadays, We know how to stabilize and to slow down the progression of the disease, but the reason why this syndrome suddenly appear is a mystery for scientists. I so interested to explore such diseases like Lyme, I even decided to get a profession of Phlebotomist. It opened me doors of the enormous world of rare anomalies and bacteria. If some of you are interested, https://www.exploremedicalcareers.com/phlebotomist/ offers a huge list of different programs of education, I have found mine exactly there. Wish you good luck

ref Aperiomics

1, the test is expensive - 750USD -1000USD per test depending on how many you have

2, it is not proven by any 3rd party independent validation program to correctly identify what is in a given sample
(this is the case for almost all commercial test labs by the way - particularly Lyme related tests )

3, the technology used - next-generation PCR sequencing of mixed media - is perhaps best described as an emerging technology and at this point in time, it is common for different studies using different versions of this technology and different databases to produce entirely different results from the same samples - despite each claiming they have the most accurate technology of them all.

the reality is they cannot all be right - and the user has no way of evaluating if they are in fact anything better than a random number generator - due to point 2 above (no independent validation).

so please go in with your eyes open.
