Hi,

Last night, I was bitten by a mosquito and I saw it on me. This morning, I woke up with a bull's eye rash at the spot where it bit me.

I'm waiting for my LLMD to call me back on Monday, but I'm going to a regular internist tomorrow just to get started on Doxy while I wait to hear from her. What dosage should I ask for?

at least 200 mg doxy twice a day. Some may suggest higher doses. 4 weeks worth at least and some would say that is not enough.

May I suggest- GET PHOTOS!! There are cases of mosquitoes transmitting Lyme disease, but they aren't documented well, so it is not taken seriously.

Here is what the official treatment protocol is for a tick bite. You can print out the one page document and take it to the doctor with you.

I don't know of any specific treatment protocol for treating a mosquitoe bite that gives you Lyme disease.

Please note the treatment is different for treating just A BITE, and treating a bite followed by symptoms (rash).

Thanks! I just went to the doctor and got Doxy

Is it ok to take Doxy at the same time as Grapefruit Seed Extract supplements and Colloidal Silver? Or should I space them out?

It's possible you could herx on any of these, so I personally suggest going slowly in dosaging to see how you're handling them.

I also like to test one treatment at a time, to see what it's doing. That's just me. Others may have other preferences.

You may want to add a good probiotic like Theralac as the Doxy will not discriminate and also kill off good bacteria in the intestines.

You may want to also add some herbs which help.

Also with Doxy, be careful in the sun.

You could try taking astragulus.

Just wondering, is doxy better than mino? Just in case someone in my family gets bit.
