Hello everyone,

My fiance and I both were recently diagnosed with Lyme... both by lab tests at Igenex, as well as clinically. We just started Alinia 8 days ago. I was originally bit in 1967, subsequently bit at least 10 times and had a bullseye reaction after a bite in 1977. Was asymptomatic or so I thought until I was 31 and diagnosed with severe arthritis yet was negative in an RA test. My medical question is this... I originally started self-treating herbally about a month ago and began herxing with a flu/cold response among many others. I am now experiencing INSANE nasal drainage and sneezing, have a productive ongoing cough, and NOTHING helps - Claritin, Sudafed, Mucinex, Benedryl, Flonase... I have taken it ALL just today and still, I am like a fountain draining clear fluid!

Has anyone else had a similar reaction to a die off? It's as if I am allergic to the biofilm! I am not allergic to the Alinia...this reaction would have occurred on day one and did not.

Thanks, and I appreciate all of your experience and input...
M [confused] [loco]

GINGER capsules always help me with sinus / nasal / lung issues. Also be sure to avoid gluten, dairy, soy, corn and particular nuts if they cause any nasal symptoms in you.

I don't think it's die-off / herx as much as reaction to these harsh chemicals.

Taking all those allergy / sinus drugs can make it worse. Sure did for me and I only took them one at a time. To combine them all can cause your liver / kidneys a lot of stress . . . and that can make a herx worse.

You said yesterday: " . . . Claritin, Sudafed, Mucinex, Benedryl, Flonase... I have taken it ALL just today. . . ." (end quote)

Mentioned in post above, my concern about the toxicity of this mix.

At least one of the OTC drugs you mention contains Tetrahydrozoline. I only started a basic cross search for one. Best to look at all the ingredients in all the products.

In this morning's news, are articles about a woman who killed her husband with eye drops that contained this. Below, just a start for your search.

While I had severe issues with sinuses - and even worse ones with any kind of drug spray or even decongestant pills . . . I was never able to use nasal spray and not have some go down the back of my throat.

That can make one ill, be otherwise dangerous - deadly - if the use adds up (and it may not take all that much).

https://www.webmd.com/children/news/20121025/child-poisonings-eye-drops-nose-sprays#1

Excerpt:

. . . The products contain the active ingredients

tetrahydrozoline,

naphazoline, or

oxymetazoline.

All three drugs are in the class of drugs called imidazolines. When placed in the eye or nose as directed, the drugs only affect that part of the body.

But if swallowed, they quickly have effects throughout the body. . . .

Could be strep still hiding out in the joints. It feasts on dairy, etc then it puts out a toxin that feels like RA. Cats claw might be helpful.

I'd look at the cell salt Nat Mur 6x as it is a specific for sneezing and drainage from the nose as if it is from a faucet. If you can't find the cell salt one can also use the homeopathic Natrum muriaticum 30c.

I'd look at the plant stem cell combo Pulmo-Gen by Seroyal for the cough. Gaia Bronchial Wellness syrup and tea is also good for those coughs from hec. Avoid dairy and all phlegm making foods too.

For feeling flu-ish one can use the homeopathic Oscillococcinum or Umcka for Cold and Flu or Boericke and Tafel Colds and Flu.

You said... "I am not allergic to the Alinia...this reaction would have occurred on day one and did not."

Actually, anyone can become allergic to anything on day one or any day after that. It doesn't have to be day one.
